The Penguin Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Dear fellow-members of EB! I need your help and advice. I made an order for a very special penguin umbrella that will be designed and manufactured specifically for me! While the master is creating a penguin-shaped handle, I need to choose an umbrella tip (ending, or whatever the thing is called!) And here's where the problem is! I've been given 5 variants but want you to help me choose from three variants. Model 1 Model 2 Model 3 Which one you like the best? ) After it's been manufactured, I'll show you the pic! ) EDIT: The final version! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited February 10, 2012 by The Penguin Quote
Oky Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I don't really like Model 2. It just looks awkward to me. The first one isn't bad, but I like the third one the best since it looks the most like an umbrella tip to me, plus it's nice and pointy and dangerous looking - good for poking bats! Can't wait to see the final result! Will you be painting it or "the master" (whoever that is)? Quote
The Penguin Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Painting? No, were talking about a real umbrella. For me. No, no painting: the handle and the tip will be silver-plated. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
Miss Kyle Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Ha, awesome idea. I'll vote for model 1. Don't like the proportions of model 2, and model 3 is too "normal". Can't wait to see the result! Edited January 10, 2012 by Miss Kyle Quote
Peanuts Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Great idea, Penguin. Did you order a flamethrower to be installed as well? I've voted for #3, it's a bit plain, but I like it. I agree with Oky and Miss kyle, 2 looks a bit strange. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result! Quote

Can't wait to see the result! Well, indeed, Model 2 looks a bit strange, though, originally I liked it best. Now I see the err of my choice! Great idea, Penguin. Did you order a flamethrower to be installed as well? I've voted for #3, it's a bit plain, but I like it. I agree with Oky and Miss kyle, 2 looks a bit strange. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result! Sure! Flamethrower, a blade, a repeater rifle and a rocket-launcher! Watch out, Bats! Model 3 also looks very good. Perhaps, I should make the tip sharp as a pike. Untill I accidentally place it on somebody's foot! Any other suggestions? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote

Shoulda figured that when I saw this posted in Community. Sure! Flamethrower, a blade, a repeater rifle and a rocket-launcher! Watch out, Bats! What? No propeller or rocket jet? How are you gonna make your getaway? Quote
The Penguin Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 What? No propeller or rocket jet? How are you gonna make your getaway? This time, sir, I'm positively going to solve our misunderstandings with Bats for good. Or get into Blackgate.... again! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
K-Nut Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I voted for Tip 1. Tip 2 was okay but Tip 3 wasn't that good in my opinion. And you still could paint the tip if you wanted to! Quote

Scorpiox Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'd say model 1, 2 is awkward and something in me disagrees with 3 as an umbrella tip. Plus 1 looks like it could hide secrets! Definatly show us pictures when your umbrella is done! Quote
The Penguin Posted January 18, 2012 Author Posted January 18, 2012 The choice has been made! Stay tuned for pics of the umbrella! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote

Professor Flitwick Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 That is the definition of class, Mr. Cobblepot! Very nice, the handle great too! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Model one in my opinion looks great, the rest is very unnatural. Oh wow! It's... Amazing Edited February 10, 2012 by Lordofdragonss Quote
Peanuts Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I definitely like it! The handle certainly looks very preeminent, and the tip also looks far better than I expected. I guess, number one was a good choice afterall. Very stylish umbrella! Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Wow! I like the handle, very apropriate. And I think the nib was the best option after all. So elegent and shiny, an amazing umbrella my friend! What is the handle and nib made out of, that looks like silver from here! Quote
The Penguin Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 That is the definition of class, Mr. Cobblepot! Very nice, the handle great too! Indeed. Thanks a lot! Watch out, Bats! ) Oh wow! It's... Amazing Thanks a lot! ) I definitely like it! The handle certainly looks very preeminent, and the tip also looks far better than I expected. I guess, number one was a good choice afterall. Very stylish umbrella! Yes, I was a bit worried about the tip, but it sure looks good. The best part is the fact that the handle is very convenient to hold. Wow! I like the handle, very apropriate. And I think the nib was the best option after all. So elegent and shiny, an amazing umbrella my friend! What is the handle and nib made out of, that looks like silver from here! Thanks a lot! Well it's move kind of a metal with a layer of pure silver over it. It was rather expensive, but, I guess, worth it. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
Vindicare Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Going by the real umbrella picture, I'd go with, and voted, model 1. I think it resembles the tip on the real one best. Drat...there I go again posting before reading the whole thread. I thought the real posted umbrella was the prop umbrella used in the TV show. Edited February 11, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Now I think we only need a photo of you with new Umbrella and fancy pose. You know, like the BOSS Penguin. Quote
ScaryScarecrow Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 You need to make a Riddler cane sometime. And I do say, that umbrella is magnificent. Does it work well in the rain? Quote
