As alot of you know I have my head firmly in the past when it comes to my LEGO Love.

Well on one of my regular searches for something interesting I found this little picture.

Its from The LEGO idea Book 238-1 from 1963 (Link here) and a link of the actual picture is here

The Pic

The Castle

I was wondering if this is the oldest castle LEGO made (even if they didn't sell it as a set) or if anyone can top this pic.

the challenge is on for anyone to fine any older pictures by LEGO of castles.

Cheers guys

Well, it looks old but they look suspiciously like cowboys and indians in the pic which would make it a fort not a castle.....

Found some on this really fascinating site - clicky. Tons of pictures from LEGO's early years. No idea how to date them though. The below are the most relevant to castle.

Sure, the castle's cool, but what really interests me here is the right side model:

Some nice tudor buildings/church:

And this one, showing the SirSven's fort in a Wild West setting:

So what do I win?

I see a lot of amazing old sets, thanks for sharing these Skipper and SirSven7. The yellow one looks incredible :classic: .

Great old photos. We had a topic like this on Classic Castle a way back. These are some new photos to me. The first building is definately a western fort. But still interesting all the same.

I love the bridge over the moat on the yellow castle. The castle itself is really cool, too. I'd like them to release that has a set...Dragon Castle anyone? :sweet:
