ISDAvenger Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Superb job, just superb. You did a great job in creating the scenes. Very detailed! Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Very nicely done! I love the parts usage/shaping of the hallway! "Everything's fine...here...now. We're all fine. How are you?" Quote
Legostein Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Hello! Great representation of an classic scene! I like the corridor shot best. It has the right lights and supports the exact mood of the original scene. Nicely done! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
JackJonespaw Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Very nice! But, two things: one, when Lucas was filming this in 76, he had black hair. Two, why does Luke have yellow skin? Something with the Trooper's Helmets? Quote

Dapper-D2 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Beautifully Done! The LED lighting works perfectly to really set the scene! I especially like the shots of George Lucas doing his magic. Wasn’t Chewbacca supposed to be in this scene? Quote

lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Great designing and scene setting 'lego envy', the scene with Leia and Luke is always a classic ! The AWESOME-ness comes from that shot of the stormie walking the passageway. And is that George in one of the shots....someone get Darth a donut ? Keep up the great work 'lego envy' ! Quote
mortesv Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Very funny! Good job! I have staged my 10188 in much the same way - nice to see it in larger scale :) Quote
lego envy Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Thanks for comments guys... This was fun to build... Quote
Oky Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 "Aren't you a bit yellow for a Stormtrooper?" Nice moc, lego envy! I really like how you made the corridor. Leia's cell, while a bit plain and not completely accurate (the bunk should be on the wall opposite to the door) is good too, but I feel that the command center where Han is could use some work. It looks unfinished since it doesn't have walls or a tiled floor like the other parts of the MOC do. Oh, and it's Detention Block AA-23, not 1138. That one is just something Luke made up. Quote

LOL, Thanks.. Luke has a tan, fake baker....Also, the room in the movie was plain so i just went with it..I wanted to put the bunk on that wall ,but i felt it better for pics to do it like this..And your right about AA-23 i mixed it up.. Thanks for that. I just get to excited to post stuff that i forget stuff sometimes. Edited January 9, 2012 by lego envy Quote
Brickmamba Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 nice build, looks really faithful to the original scene, well done! Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I just get so excited to post stuff that I forget stuff sometimes. There's plenty of time to post. I would encourage you to take as much time as you need to look your MOC (and commentary) over before posting so that people will be able to see your best work. A big issue I had with many of my earliest MOCs was that I posted them before they were really finished - whenever I tried to write commentary for them I ended up talking about what I didn't and couldn't achieve more than anything else. What's more, all the suggestions people made were highlights of shortcomings I had already known about when posting the creation, leading to me getting annoyed rather than working to make the improvements I knew I had to make. More than anything else, this is your own creation – you shouldn't feel any obligation to present it to the community until you feel it's worthy to do so. Quote
streifen Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 the walkway is just like the place it is in...DARK! did not see the film crew initially then after seeing it, thought you have made a great diorama! Quote

lego envy Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) Excuse me? "A big part of to too"? I wrote it twice.. to too... my mistake Edited January 10, 2012 by lego envy Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 What I meant was, could you clarify what you meant by your last post? Because "a big part of to too" doesn't make sense to me. Americans and their crazy bastardized English. Quote

Mr Man Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Because "a big part of to too" doesn't make sense to me. Americans and their crazy bastardized English. You use American English . I haven't commented on this yet lego envy but I really like it. I think the computer terminal needs a little more work to look more accurate, but the corridor is great. Quote
Lobot Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Great stuff lego envy! The cell bay is especially well done and the LEDs really add to the scene (It's good to see that I'm not the only one who likes using them!!). If you want to create a slightly more ‘diffuse’ effect for other MOCs, try using a trans-clear ‘Slide Shoe Round 2 x 2’(link here) Quote
