interestedpen Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Hi, I am planning on building a MOC of Hogwarts sometime soon, but I don't really like the tan colour lego uses in their sets. I really like the colour used for the walls in this one: I was going to order the bricks for my MOC from bricklink, but I'm not sure what the colour is called on it. Does anyone know? Can anyone help me? Quote
K-Nut Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I think it's just regular old Light Gray. You could also use Light Bley as well. Quote
interestedpen Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 Really? I thought it looked brownish.. Quote

Skipper Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) I'm pretty sure that's just the lighting. But you could build the castle in dark tan . . . EDIT: Argh, damn you K-nut!! Edited January 8, 2012 by Skipper Quote
JackJonespaw Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I'm thinking old dark grey or dark tan. Those would look quite good together. Quote
interestedpen Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 Ah yes, you're right, thanks. :) It is just the lighting. I found more photos which show the grey. And I wish I could build it in dark tan, but unfortunately not all of the bricks I need come in dark tan. :( So which do you guys think looks better; tan or light grey/bley? Quote
Oky Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I'm a big fan of tan, so imma have to go with that. Quote

I think all the grey walls might look a bit boring.. I quite like this tan hogwarts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrK7Kw7siFY but I'll probably use dark grey for the roofs of mine, as Hogwarts definitely does not have green roofs! xD Quote
