Hello My Fellow Eurobrickers! :-D

I am really excited about this thread, since it is my first 'MOCing' topic! I hope that you will like my newest minifig MOC, but before that, I would like to share with you a little information about another project of mine, the UAS:

At last, I would like to announce the premiere of my personal website - The Unknown Artist's Studio - which will take place this Haloween at 00:00 GMT. Though I do not expect it to be fully functional till that time, I am proud to say that the most anticipated part of the site - the shop (unfortunately, only for US customers so far) will be fully operational. I would also like to thank all of you who have been sending me your wonderful pm's and e-mails about the UAS - I really appreciate it! Those of you who would like to place an order from outside of the US, please do not hesitate to send me an old-fashioned 'e-mail' order... ;-)

Now, to my newest custom. Jolee Bindo from the greatest RPG of all times: Star Wars: Kinights of the Old Republic. Now, many of you might wonder why I chose him to be the fist custom of my KotOR Project, but the answer is a really simple one - he's just one of my favorite characters in the game. "Let's play with the old man's head..."

If you play the game as it's meant to be played (making every sidequest, preferably light-sided), you'll learn a lot about Jolee's past. His story is far more interesting that of, let's say, Mission's or Bastila's. And at least he hasn't got any relatives we have to deal with (Bastila's mother, Carth's son, Mission's brother). ;) Sometimes he is funny, sometimes tracically serious, but he has a personality - something most PC game characters lack these days. Though you can finish the game without him in your party, it's a great loss.

For those of you who did not play the game, here're a few reference images: Jolee Bindo | Face Concept | Concept Drawing

You have waited long enough, so I present to you... JOLEE BINDO!

This one is a hybrid custom, since I used both water slide decals and sticker paper to achieve satisfactory look and durability (decals just don't make good boots and stickers don't look good on the face). A product of what can be called 'extreme customization', I tried to make my Jolee fig as detailed as possible - the only part of his clothing that I omitted were he shoulder pads - since they have no functionality and the minifigs have narrow shoulders. Also, to get the level of detail I wanted, I would have to make them separate stickers - and stickers over fabric just wouldn't have the homogenous overall of the robe I aimed for.

The decals were made in Adobe Illustrator, and all are very simple shapes. I really enjoyed making Jolee's face design - and I like how it turned out. I had to layer decals (white and transparent to make his goatee the correct color - but that took 3 sets of decals to achieve... ;) I have to admit, the overall custom does not feature Jolee's exact outfit from the game - it's got some details form the concepts I posted (for example, the arm decals).

The robes were the first thing I designed - though I had to change a couple of things to make the hoodie look realistic. I would like to thank Jeff (Blasterman) for the belt ideas, Justin (Scorpion) for inspiration on the face decals, Emily (Recluce) for doing the B-Fest shopping for me, Ben (Blind-Bricks) for being the first one to view the pictures and Zach (BabyJawa) for suggesting that KotOR contest on MCN, which gave me the funal push of inspiration!

Well, I guess I have typed enough. It's your turn, my friends - let me know what you think. Comments, criticism, suggestions and questions are more than welcomed!

~Victor

Now, this is how TLC should do Jedi. This is one amazing minifig. I'm loving all of it, especially the face, it looks like one made by TLC. Keep up the fantastic work.

Very sweet custom, Victor!

The work is done very cleanly, so that it almost looks like an official fig! The robes are really cool, and so is his belt. The legs are really cool too... Did you cut two pairs of legs and then glue them together, or paint them?

I look forwards to your store. :-)
