The horizontal curve of the bow and stern seems to be off.

I.E. there are longer steps to the end then to the middle giving an uneven curve.

Apart from that the bow seems a bit strange at the keel, it is a bit too thin I think.

At the stern there seems to be a bit too much overhang over the rudder, it should be a steeper curve there.

I hope that feedback helps, using this technique is a daring attempt.

Ooooh, that is already a million times better then your first version!

The bow looks nicely filled out, however, the black line could use a little upwards sloping. Have you tried to use jumper plates to get just that slight curve in it?

Your upper stern could even be a tad more sloped, I think 45 degree slopes are the best way to do it.

Also the rudder should be a bit bigger, as it almost reaches the tip of the sloped upper part.

About the bow there isn't much to do at this stage. I'm going to use hinges and having it slopped would make it quite hard to build on. However that *should* be the part of the ship with the steepest vertical curve so I will recreate the sheer with the hinges when they are in their place About the stern I've solved mostly all the problems you pointed out.

I've finally ended the hull which means I am working on the decks (finally!!).

I would like to ask if someone could suggest me a solution for a small problem I have in here:

This is how it looks right now. There are missing a plate or tile here and there (I don't have them right now) and the bell isn't in its place — the boarding nets are also missing.

I'm using this grille design, inspired from Foremast Jack's for the grilles but I can't find a way of making them as in here, near the mast:

Please notice the available space, those grilles should be squares of approx. 2 or 3 studs per side.

Well I've been trying to do it again with the border, yes… I guess it is pretty impossible at that scale and useless after all If no-one comes with a better idea I'll probably stick to something like this as it also turns pretty nice as well.

Id say use that grill piece, its not possible to make it look good whit those headlight bricks in this kind of scale. Im lookinf forward for updates.

This may be a bit too obvious but perhaps you could use an 8x8 grates plate to cover all four grates:

You might find that the grates are a bit too close to the mast

But a nice feature is that they are open, you can see through them

to beef it up a little you could add those grilles or maybe turntable bases.

(I don't have a lot of those.)

Just remember not to hold your ship upside down or anything when you apply these

If you really want the grates to be a bit farther from the mast (farther in the direction cannons are pointed) you could use two 8x8 grate plates, I'm not sure if that would conflict with the walls though.

Wow! I really like a lot your first design! The last one is cool too but I guess it won't be too stable would it?

The gaps are nice too and really realistic. Perhaps that's an advantage that this

has over the 1x1 bricks turned upside down but the spacing is more correct in the last way.

I've done it in this simpler way but I'm pleased with the result Thanks for your suggestions, I like them a lot, I'll consider including them in a next ship.
