hjmediastudios Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Hello again, I was pretty bored over New Years, and, being the huge Lego fan I am, I decided to troll the internet for 2012 Lego Super Heroes rumors. I'm a huge fan of Iron Man, so I was disappointed at the crappy figure shown off at Comic-con. Taking it upon myself to improve on the design, I created some Iron Man and War Machine designs that look great and are easily re-purposed for future mayhem... War Machine by HJ Media Studios, on Flickr Oops. Yes, I noticed the armor intersects the torso. Iron Man Shot by HJ Media Studios, on Flickr Comments, questions, helpful hints, etc. are all welcome! CM4Sci Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Those look amazing! AWESOME work, hjmediastudios! If only those were the real thing. I love the "Ex-Wife" I think it was called on War Machine. How long did it take for you to make both? -Sci Edited January 2, 2012 by CM4S Quote
hjmediastudios Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 It took me about an hour to create the armor and render it. The minifig was an existing model I had lying around. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I see you're bored too...or were at least. Nice work there, much better than LEGO's prototype, but I'm sure that will get better. Quote
Brickmamba Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 nice 3d work, the black fig looks great! Quote

Flipz Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 These look awesome! Any chance you could animate a short battle between them? (Even something very rough would be very interesting and informative--at least to me. ) Quote
hjmediastudios Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 I probably will animated them. By "battle," are you talking about some sort of knock-down, drag-out fistfight, or a more refined affair with guns and repulsors? 'Cause the first one's considerably more difficult to animate. :) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Very creative renditions. I am a fan of Iron Man, but only because of the recent movies. I never read any of the comics. Hopefully the new Lego version will be worthwhile. Keep up the great designs. Quote

The comics... well... 50% are totally worthless, 40% are so-so, but 10% are riveting. (Get it? Hee hee.) Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Hahahaha, that is simply awesome! Good work, and thanks a lot for sharing. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) They look fearsome! Even more with that machine gun! Edited January 4, 2012 by Ecclesiastes Quote
