Henchmen4Hire Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) V-LV-43C A very cool little car, I thought it would work better in 7 wide (instead of my usual 8 wide) to create more of an illusion of length. Original here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60580 LDD file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?2h33h26xnrl1b97 Tweaks to LDD file -Added plates behind front bumper to move it forward -Raised rear curves by 1 plate The doors are hinged but it's more out of habit since they're so restricted haha Edited March 26, 2012 by Phred Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Nice digital recreation of 'L@go's work, Brick On LDD On 'DrNightmare'. Quote
L@go Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Well, I'm honored that you're re-imagining my work :) With the added width the proportions are certainly less wacky and probably more realistic, and I quite like the outcome. I think I'd add another plate behind the bumper tile to keep the headlights from sticking out so much, and I'd probably raise the curved part of the rear by one plate so it's flush with the lime green 'waistline' of the car. Apart from that, it's very nice. Any plans on brick-building it? I'd very much like to see that! Edited January 2, 2012 by L@go Quote

Nuuuuuu!, I can't spend so much on LEGO, I already blew my meager budget buying parts for two of my other cars and I'm still missing red mudguards. I might save to build your MPV though. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64197 I can post the LDD file for this if you want, with the changes you mentioned. Interesting CAD work! It's LDD, but close enough! Quote
L@go Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Nuuuuuu!, I can't spend so much on LEGO, I already blew my meager budget buying parts for two of my other cars and I'm still missing red mudguards. I know the feeling. I have a couple of digital models waiting around for a few BL orders, but I can't spend money on that just now... I can post the LDD file for this if you want, with the changes you mentioned. Go ahead and post the files if you like. I don't use LDD myself, I've tried it but find MLCad much easier to use :) Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Cool, first post now has the download link. I'll have to try MLCad to see what the hubbub is about Quote
