zewy623 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Hi all! I was on LDD the other day thinking of a way to make the Unimog crane have LAs, but I could not fit two u-joints/cv-joints inside the turntable. So I was thinking that lego should make a double u-joint/cv-joint. Basically putting two back to back but having a shorter shaft between to two, making it easier for smaller spaces. I was also thinking that there should be smaller crown gears, since crown gears are the non-beveled gear tooth count and have a half bevel quality. (having 2 in a corner is an example) I was trying that for the same idea as my LA Unimog crane, but the crown gear fits perfectly inside the turntable, so that wouldn't work out since it cant turn, and it needed to be a crown gear for the n-b gear tooth count and the half bevel quality because of the setup it was in. What do you think of these ideas? Would they be useful or just a useless piece? And what are your ideas for wanted pieces? Quote

zewy623 Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 I never use brick shelf. I usually get myself lost with so many things to look at. Quote
efferman Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 and some of barmans ideas are now reality Quote
DLuders Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) Yes indeed, Barman (Barry Bosman) has great ideas for Lego Technic pieces -- see this Eurobricks post for discussion and pictures. Barman also an idea of "Parts to Couple Linear Actuators" (which possibly could be adapted to handle pneumatic cylinders) -- see this Eurobricks topic. Allanp has this Eurobricks topic about "New [Lego Technic] Pneumatic Parts I'd Like to See." Edited December 26, 2011 by DLuders Quote
