This year, I have attempted to build a winter scene to incorporate the 4 lego sets of this theme.

Of course the village needed a train so the modified Christmas Train was set to work to take Santa around the country.

The loco has a headlight, 9V motor and a flashing firebox. The tender has coal, water and a fireman.

Santa travels through the hills on his throne with a spot light on him at night.

A turning snowman follows Santa around everywhere.

It is party time for the elves as they travel in their own car with its own 9V motor and heaps of flashing lights.

Christmas time is certainly a lot of fun for these villagers.

Thank you for the kind words.

Yes the one horse open sleigh is sitting on a slot car motor.

I must confess now that it is not Lego but a cheap clone that has 'studs' on the top of the motor. I have thrown the cheap bricks away because they wouldn't stick together.

The track almost follows the curve of lego road plates so it makes it easy to motorise lego cars.

At the last BLTG show, we had all the 'cars 2' vehicles moving around the road of our town.

For the sleigh, I only needed one small oval of track so I cut the track in half. The horse has a [ very ] modified technic pin in its hoof to guide it round the track.

I have modified the wiring so that you can't see them by soldering them underneath. The wires go back to a 9V train controller.

You may notice 4 lots of movement in this short video.
