cruiser_elston Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Hi everyone, I'm from Singapore and I ordered from 2 stores from Bricklink: 1) 1001bricks (France) 2) Chrome Bricks (Germany) Does anyone know how long it usually takes to ship LEGO orders from the above mentioned stores and to those who had bought LEGO from them, what was the experience like? Thanks in advance! Quote

Shipping time is slow, mainly because they use a really unexpensive shipping method, but which takes some time to arrive... Quote

frogstudio Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Thanks for your reply How long did your order take to arrive? About 20 days to Argentina, though I must admit that half of that time it was sleeping in argentinian customs, so, I customs in your country are more efficient, it should reach you sooner... Quote
L@go Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I have experience with both of them - as I live in Norway, the shipping time to me and the shipping time to you is probably going to be quite different, but as far as I can tell, it's always been quite quick. I've placed a few orders with ChromeBricks and consider them trustworthy and good, and 1001bricks is, in my opinion, one of the very best sellers on BrickLink. Highly trustworthy, selling bricks of very good quality, and always reasonable on shipping. I'd be very surprised if you encounter any problems with any of these orders. Quote
cruiser_elston Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 How were your orders packed when they arrived? Quote
L@go Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I can't recall any specific problems with the orders from ChromeBricks, so unless I'm mistaken the pieces arrived in separate zip-lock bags. Regarding 1001bricks, the packaging is always immaculate, with pieces divided into zip-lock bags. Never a problem there. Quote
fyrmedhatt Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I had a great transaction with 1001 Bricks, and they shipped from France to the US quickly in my eyes, something like a week and a half, which I found to be fast when considering their low shipping prices. The parts I ordered all arrived in great condition as far as I can remember, so I'd recommend them. Quote

cruiser_elston Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 It has been 3 weeks since my order, including New Year and Christmas, so is there anything to worry about? (The parcel being lost in the mail)? Quote
Hewman Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 It has been 3 weeks since my order, including New Year and Christmas, so is there anything to worry about? (The parcel being lost in the mail)? Nothing to worry about at all. I had an order airmailed from the US on December 9 and it didn't arrive until early this month. It's just a really busy time of year for shipping, plus holidays for staff in shipping companies. Is Chromebricks from Germany? I've always found German post a little slower than say the UK, so factor that in as well and I think you'll be right. Quote
cruiser_elston Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 Sorry to post a vague post above, but the order that hasn't arrived yet is the French order - 1001bricks. Chromebricks is really efficient with their shipping and ships within 2 weeks. Quote
L@go Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Is there a particular reason why you post here instead of just asking Sylvain who runs 1001bricks? In my experience, he's a very friendly guy who has yet to disappoint me at any point, and as I said, I've placed lot of orders with him. A shipping time of three weeks from Europe to Asia doesn't sound very unlikely, especially as your package has been in transit over Christmas. I'd give it a bit longer still. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I've ordered from 1001Bricks and wasn't disappointed but, it did take about a month for the order to reach me (U.S.). I prefer to oder form the U.S. as most of my orders from Europe take 3-4 weeks. Still, I've never not received an order Quote
