Ecclesiastes Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Something else besides all the guild-builds. I build this for a contest on Lowlug. You had to make a vignette about a "clean-up" and I took that clean-up to a medieval level! Iconoclastic Fury The Iconoclastic Fury, is the destroying on a large scale of paintings, statues and other symbols in catholic churches by protestants wich started in 1522. Because the protestants believed it was a sin to pray to saints. Especially here in the Netherlands it leaded to irreversible damage to a lot of churches. The raids took place for about three weeks and leaded to a war with Spain wich lasted for 80 years. A priest hiding with a spanish soldier. Tearing up the place. close-up Edited December 16, 2011 by Ecclesiastes Quote
Evil Stu Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Fantastic detail on this. I really like the smashed stained glass window, the broken statue and the grave outside. Additionally, the pictures do a great job of capturing the emotion of the moment - the Priest is perfect and I don't think I have ever seen an angrier looking 'Angry mob" ;-) Quote
Man with beard Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Well, religious debates aside... This is actually quite a good MOC. There are a few places that look slightly unfinished, but overall it is very nicely 'sculpted'. Quote
lorax Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 This MOC is full of great details, I agree with Evil Stu, the broken window with glass on the ground is a great touch, the chandelier is awesome and the choice (and positioning) of figures is perfect. Quote
