Zane Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I thought it'd be interesting to see what peoples favourite sets are, so, list away! Two of my top sets would be 1382: Scary Laboratory and 8877: Vladeks Dark Fortress. I had so much fun with those sets. *wub* Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Being true to my line I would have to say the Supernova (Exo-Force). Otherwice I was very happy with my yellow castle when I was a kid (And will assemble it again some day). Quote
gylman Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Boy, that's a big question..... 8868 - Airtech Claw Rig! Big surprise..... not For system, I have to say 6085 Black Monarch's Castle Since these are all ancient sets.... For the last 10 years: 7419 Dragon Fortress (Adventurers Orient Expedition) Quote
UltraPrime Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I think of all the sets I have, my favourite is the Legends Airport - only real 'classic' set I have. Quote
Hobbes Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 (edited) aren't they beautiful? :'-) Excellent "choice", hinckley :-) For me, I can't really choose a set or two right away, but the entire town and train lines from the 80s are on top of my list. I'll try to make up my mind about specific sets ;-) Edit: OK, I made up my mind. I could list 50 sets but I chose these two since they're the ones I've been looking for most (and longest and most unsuccessful): Edited September 26, 2006 by Hobbes Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 My favorite set, the 6285 pirate ship, Black Seas Barracuda, such a pretty boat...err ship! Quote
Zarkan Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I'd have to go with the Exo-force Gate Assault. That kit was the one that started my love for the entire theme, and it kind of brings back memories of older kits that were jampacked with lots of features and cool sub constructions. I also love the first Starwars Milineum Falcon that TLC made. Although the new one beats the living daylights out of it, that kit was a real classic to me. It was so awesome having a model of the ship I saw in the movies, and I enjoyed it so much. To date, it's the only $100 kit I have. ;-) Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 A very good and hard to answer question !! Arghh the difficulty of the exercise *sing* Well, since I had a such a long dark age, I couldn't go with a set that was part of my childhood, so I had to choose a set I got after my dark age and I really have to say... the AT-AT *wub* That set is just a pure beauty with fantastic figs (snowies *wub* ) !! *yoda* Quote
natelite Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 i wish they would recreate the AT-AT so i can buy one! *wub* for set that i can get though...i would have to say 10175, darth vader's tie advanced. that has to be THE best set. still waiting to get it. :-/ Quote
mutley777 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I'm with *yoda* on this one. you can't beat the AT-AT Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I just don't want to pick anything. The very least I can do is say that my favorite Star Wars set is Boba Fett's Slave I (redesigned version). It's perfect in every way: playability, design, colors, shape. Perfection. When it comes down to other sets, I'd likely pick something from the Town series. I just really can't bring myself to choosing one. Ah well. Quote
Norro Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 My all time faviourite is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost. It had it all... After that (and in no permantly decided order): 6764 Sherif's Lock-Up 6175 Crystal Explorer Sub 6267 Lagoon Lock-up 6071 Forestmen's Crossing 6260 Shipwreck Island 6086 Black Knight's Castle 6062 Battering Ram God Bless, Nathan Quote
DoubleT Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 There are many good sets, but my favorite is 6080: King's Castle It Got it when i was very young, so its sentimental, but its all a very well made set. Bad part i have the parts but not built he he But uses it in Mocs Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Finally found the castle I was talking about: BTW: Look at the horses ears. Ahh, the days before SNOT-regulations. Quote
Hinckley Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 My all time faviourite is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost. It had it all... Oooh! Good call. I loved *wub* that set! Quote
dillthepill Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 This is easy for me because I have only liked Legos for a year. My favorite set is the Striking Venom. *y* Great design, weaponry, durability, and color scheme. I would say Bridge Walker vs White Lightning but I don't have it yet so I can't be so sure. ;-) Quote
ImperialJohn Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 That is easy :-$ 5571 Black Cat Quote
Commander Wolf Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I'd say it's a pretty difficult choice when you want to narrow it down to a few. There are a lot of sets that I'd rank among my favorites... I'd have to go with the Deep Freeze Defender and the Galactic Mediator. Quote
captaintau Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 My favourites vary over time. In no particualr order, my current favourite sets are: ARC170 Dagobah X-Wing AT-TE New B-Wing Batmobile/Two-Face Sandcrawler New Millennium Falcon Mos Eisley Cantina Turbo Tank Quote
Endigo Vandane Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 My first choice: The source of my addiction. My true favourite is this: Boy, do I miss Classic Space. :-( Quote
SalvoBrick Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 When I was a child, my favourite was the 355: But I never had enough money to buy it :( My second choice is the 356: I still have it, 100% complete :) Quote
Athos Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I had to pick a couple. One from each of the theme's I collect: Dragon Fortress King's Castle Black Seas Barracuda or the Imperial Trading Post Steve Quote
