OOC: Is the catapult targets dead yet? I wish I didn't pick the catapult duty. :D

QM Note:

The catapult hasn't killed anyone yet, no, though it has harmed quite a few. You can always abandon your position, if that's what you want.

"We'll have to abandon our post if Scout A lives through the next Round...I say we try and take out the Mounted Scout, though, since Spag is here to protect us and we have a shot of killing, or at least injuring, the Scout before he gets up here...

QM Note:

Capt.JohnPaul, you can't target Scout B, who's on top of the wall while you're inside it. I changed your target to the Mounted Scout.

Results of Round Four of the Battle for Bric'Bay Fort:

>William Harkenshire vs. Brobric Scout B - Damage

Xander Unth'or vs. Mounted Brobric Scout - Miss

>Arthur Justus Regulus VII and Isabella del Toboso (Catapult) vs. Mounted Brobric Scout - Special Damage

>Arasmyth RuGard vs. Brobric Scout B - Hit

>Althior Emorith vs. Brobric Scout A - Miss

Spag Bitterstalk vs. Brobric Scout A - Damage

>Alexandre le Chevalier vs. Mounted Brobric Scout - Hit

Finally decide to do something, William, you attempt to shoot down Scout B, but he evades your arrow. Xander, you spin to attack the Mounted Scout, but he's too nimble, and your hammer pounds harmlessly into the soft ground. Arthur and Isabella, you, too, attempt to take down the Mounted Scout, but, alas, he proves too quick to hit with the catapult, and Flanks you. Arasmyth, oblivious to the poor luck your fellow heroes are having, you conjure a gust of wind that blows Scout B off of the West Wall at 11 Damage, while, Althior, your hand is knocked aside by the wind and you spell flies off into the distance. Spag, you run up the stairs to attack Scout A, but he forces you back down, dealing 3 Damage in the process. Alexandre, you can't see where the Mounted Scout has gone, thus you hold your fire.

The elves are moving now, but it may be too little, too late. The battle continues...

Party Leader, choose the order of action.

All of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, move, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.

Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted.

After the end of the third Round, your positions are as shown below:

"Sir! We have elven Scout A cornered on the Second Floor of the North-West Tower! The elven Mounted Scout has moved, and is now in front of the North Wall."

Posted

Spag does the same as Xander.

QM Note:

If your intention is to move to attack the Mounted Scout, you can do that on this turn, since the North-West Tower directly borders the area in front of the North Wall, and you're on the ground floor.

"Isabella, it's time. Let the other Mages deal with the mounted Scout, looks like we have to deal with the one on the wall. You attack first, in case you get a chance to Mug him." Unlimbering his Opal, Arthur attempts to encase Scout A's head in a block of ice. (In other words, he casts an Ice spell at Scout A from the Back Row.)

Okay, Spag'll do that, then, with his halberd.

Battle Order:

Harkenshire

Xander

Isabella

Arasmyth

Althior

Spag

Alexandre

Arthur

Althior uses Darkness on the mounted scout from the back row. It's then when Althior sees the mark on his hand, and the metallic mask of Abraxas appears in his mind. He stumbles back a bit, but is fine.

"I'm running towards to mounted scout to do my special attack."

QM Note:

You're on top of the North-West Tower, so the Mounted Scout is out of melee range for you. You can either try to throw your dagger at the mounted scout (which will take three turns to retrieve) or move down a level to attack Scout A.

Also, I just got back online after a really busy day, so I apologize if I take a little longer to get to running the next round.

move down a level to attack Scout A.

OOC: Wait, what? I thought Scout A was on top of our tower, threatening us (that's why I chose to jump out of the catapult). If he's still a floor down and won't get up to attack us until next round, then we'll send one last shot off at the mounted scout.

QM Note:

No, he's next to heroes, so he's holding his position. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Next battle, I'll have avatars for enemies on the map, too. :classic:

OOC: That would be nice, thanks.

"Isabella, wait, never mind they're both too far off. Let's get back in the catapult, and take one more shot at that blasted mounted scout with a large stone."

"Allrighty, let's get back to sniping!"

"I can't see a thing!" cried Alexandre.

He moves to the top of the West Wall. (That's one turn, correct?)

QM Note:

Sorry, no ladders or stairs in the walls. That's three turns. (Ground Floor of North-West Tower, Second Floor of North-West Tower, top of West Wall)

Do you want to move or stay put? I'm going to play the Round in a couple hours.

Posted (edited)

"Alexandre, stay where you are, you can move between waves."

EDIT: "Or...not..."

Just saw your post, as we posted at same time....

"But who can I hit?"

"I was wrong, since you can't hit anyone anyway, go ahead and move."

OOC: speaking of moving between waves, will our actions be played in rounds (i.e. it takes a certain number of Rounds to get from place to place and we only have so many Rounds between waves), or will it be more along the lines of "I'll let you get away with a reasonable amount of stuff before the Elves return"?

Also, is this an OK color for OOC? I'm trying to find one that's reasonably easy to read but not too distracting.
