Darth Doggfather Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Link One entrepenuer going by the name of "JNL Trading" is selling the new X-Wings (MSRP $49.99) for $95.00 on Amazon.com, making a $45 profit on each one. How can he pull this off? Well, as the seller says, it's a "Rare Limited Edition Star Wars Lego Collection." before giving us the dire warning to "Get it before they're gone." One of the reviewers even says that he bought it at his local LEGO store for $50, but none of the reviews make any mention of the 195% of the retail price this guy is selling for. Makes me wonder, what if more of these S@H and TRU exclusives come out, will scalpers like this guy sell them for enormous profits?
Starwars4J Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It's a fact of trading and selling. It's always happened, and it always will. As long as there are people willing to pay those prices, I'm sure there will be people selling them for those prices. It's perfectly fair, too. If they did their research, they'd know better ;-) "Buyer beware" and all
