M<0><0<DSWIM Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 This is my entry for Yuri Fassio's Spinning Top Contest over on Mocpages. I've been wanting to build a proper Moodland scale Yoda for a while, and this contest was my chance. I know I've stretched the definition of "spinning top" with this build, but he truly does spin! As always, you can check out the full gallery on my Mocpages account:My link Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 YODA-GO! THis is a really cool concept, and well executed. I've always been a fan of Moodland, and this is one of my favorite MOCs in that scale, aside from your AT-RT of course. I love it! Quote
surrideo Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Fantastic and instantly recognisable too, what does he spin on? Going to the last pic, its like Attack Of The Clones all over again. Fooling no-one Yoda, you don't need that stick! Quote

Mr Man Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Fantastic job M<0><0<DSWIM, very reconisable and lovley articulated. Quote
Lobot Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Excellent work M<0><0<DSWIM! In my opinion, this is one of your best MOCs that I’ve seen. Instantly recognizable & a very clever build. Keep up the great work! Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Awseome build M<0><0<DSWIM! I love how his feet are executed Quote
Huntleyfx Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 This has to be my favorite mood-scale MOC in existence (currently) Quote
Big Cam Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Wow, I think this looks really good. The size seems right for his size, and the way you did the legs is interesting, they are allowed to bend in the right places. It looks really good, and it spins. Quote

Oky Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Nice work, Mood! Not only is this a great-looking Moodland Yoda, but it does break-dance too! Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Break-dancing Yoda returns! (But in a different build this time) I've always loved your out-of-the-box SW creations like this one, as you always make it a point to put the ever-so-important element of FUN in your MOCs. Quote

Thanks for noticing the reference to my earlier build! I figure if I don't enjoy what I'm building, then people won't enjoy looking at my stuff. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 My favorite part of this build is the feet. I don't know if you've done that before, but the toes are perfect. The top edges of the ears seem off, somehow, but I can't put my finger on it. Other than that, great build! Quote

I have used that foot technique before here: My link I'm sure the ears are a bit small, but I was trying to build a Yoda that was properly proportioned. Quote
Brickmamba Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Not sure if the spinning top works or not but a really got moc of my fav Jedi Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Another great character! I love how he acts fast...he is a real Jedi Master! Quote

Very reconisable as usual Mood . How is the Yoda able to spin on his back, can you post a pic? He must be perfectly ballanced. Quote
