This is my entry for Yuri Fassio's Spinning Top Contest over on Mocpages. I've been wanting to build a proper Moodland scale Yoda for a while, and this contest was my chance. I know I've stretched the definition of "spinning top" with this build, but he truly does spin! :classic:

YODA-GO!

THis is a really cool concept, and well executed. I've always been a fan of Moodland, and this is one of my favorite MOCs in that scale, aside from your AT-RT of course. :sweet:

I love it! :cry_happy:

Fantastic and instantly recognisable too, what does he spin on?

Going to the last pic, its like Attack Of The Clones all over again. Fooling no-one Yoda, you don't need that stick!

Thanks! There's a modified tile on his back that allows him to spin. You can check out the full gallery at the link I offered.

Excellent work M<0><0<DSWIM! In my opinion, this is one of your best MOCs that I’ve seen. Instantly recognizable & a very clever build. Keep up the great work! :classic:

Wow, I think this looks really good. The size seems right for his size, and the way you did the legs is interesting, they are allowed to bend in the right places.

It looks really good, and it spins. :classic:

Thanks! The funny thing is, this took me like 4 hours to build.

Break-dancing Yoda returns! (But in a different build this time) I've always loved your out-of-the-box SW creations like this one, as you always make it a point to put the ever-so-important element of FUN in your MOCs.

HAHAAA! Thanks for noticing the reference to my earlier build! I figure if I don't enjoy what I'm building, then people won't enjoy looking at my stuff. :sweet:

My favorite part of this build is the feet. I don't know if you've done that before, but the toes are perfect. The top edges of the ears seem off, somehow, but I can't put my finger on it. Other than that, great build!

Thanks! I have used that foot technique before here:

I'm sure the ears are a bit small, but I was trying to build a Yoda that was properly proportioned.

Awseome build M<0><0<DSWIM!

I love how his feet are executed :cry_happy:

I agree with Lord of the fries, love his feet. They look awsome. Very reconisable as usual Mood  .

How is the Yoda able to spin on his back, can you post a pic? He must be perfectly ballanced.

He has one modified tile on his back. The rest is just low center-of-gravity.
