legomonk Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I want a wat tambor bad! It amazes me the TLG has never made this fig. I have seen some ok-ish conversions and wondering if anyone has made one and has any pointers. I know decals have been made the head has been an issue along with the armor/enviro suit he is wearing. Any ideas on what a good base head would be and what could be modified to build the armor/enviro suit? For legs I was thinking of going with some type of one used for dresses on female figs. I am a novice at converting lego figs but I have spent considerable time converting warhammer 40k figs and vehicles. I own a lot of the tools to do it well just need some ideas to make it work and be a great fig. thank you in advance. I think I have found a sticker set off flicker I will be using. Quote

Base head: This guy's. Breathing apparatus: This one. I mad him like this, it looks quite good actually. You just have to flip the Battle Damaged Darth Vader's neck piece backwads and it looks just like Wat Tambor. Another option would be the grey firefighter gas mask, but I don't have that piece, so I can't vouch for what it would look like. Quote
legomonk Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) I do actually have one of those fire fighter peices. I dont have a battle damaged Vader. Might looking into at least two of him if i paint it. btw thank you very much. Edited November 30, 2011 by legomonk Quote

Bricksandparts Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 here's the one from Lego star wars III: The clone wars: Just found some decals someone made online: I think these match up with the pic above. how about this? Quote
Cpt. Dan Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 how about this? With a little bit of brasso, some Bricklink, and those decals that would be a perfect Wat Tambor. The breathing app from Cad Bane actually looks perfect, that is a wonderful idea for that. Waterslides would make a sweet Tambor too. Quote
The Legonater Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 how about this? I've made a purist fig using that piece. I should post pics of it. Quote
legomonk Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) here's the one from Lego star wars III: The clone wars: that pic is the one that made me wish for a fig! Just found some decals someone made online: I think these match up with the pic above. this is actually the decals I was going to use. I should have posted them. thank you for doing it. how about this? I dont have a Cad Bane... yet. I know I will soon (fingers crossed for Christmas lol) Anyone know how high on the minifigs face it would be flipped around? I do love the way it looks, really great idea! Thank you. Bricksandparts Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Here's some links to bricklink where you can buy it: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=77&itemID=94829 (normal color) http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=11&itemID=94829 (Black? It might be custom) http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=3&itemID=94829 (Yellow? Might also be custom) Quote
legomonk Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) Thank you for the links. I messaged the guy with the yellow one to see if he had pictures or if it was custom. all else fails i will go with just the gun metal gray one I think it will look good and be less like the cartoon clone wars more like the movie. I was thinking about using squidwards head seams to be the sand green color I have some orks and heads are probably the easiest part. What are people using for legs? I am not finding any royal blue color dress pieces. does anyone know the option for it? Edited December 2, 2011 by legomonk Quote
