lightningtiger Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Check this out...... This will be joining my other standard Lego city sets and Danish/Lego inspired MOC's. Comments welcome. Quote
De Sandman Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 This looks cool and feels real to me , to bad (at least in holland) the pay-phone's are disappering because almost everyone has a mobile phone. Quote
CptMugwash Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Very nice LT, love the use of that windscreen piece for the canopy, the decals are cool too. Mind you Sandman has an idea, mobile phones for minifigs Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Thanks 'De Sandman' and 'CptMugwash' for your comments, click here if you want to see this phone in a setting in My Danish Village. Oh, I forgot yesterday to add that it was a SNOT built phone using hinges to get the angle of the keypad right plus an add bonus the gap in the hinge piece acts as a coin/money return slot. alois Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 The pay phone is very well built, but it seems a little bit out of scale... The minifig could hide inside it. But I know it's no use to try and keep the scale of town in proportion. Lego is the first at fault by creating a telephone handset that is half the length of a minifig, i.e. nearly a metre long in real life! Quote
Man with a hat Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Wow, stop. Not that fast... Sorry, but I can't keep up with all your MOC's. But I must say I like this one. It looks a bit big, yes. But still, scale isn't everything. And it is a great addition to your town. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Thanks 'alois' and 'Man with a hat' for your comments, scale in Lego is always weird...either it's too small or too large, I then remember it's a childs toy and that telephone receiver might have been designed for Fabuland I think ? Now for those who want to see the inspiration shot for the phone itself...... Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 As you might have already seen.....my change in plan pay phone....booth. Finally I have stickered it (but I'm not happy with the red my printer produces....fine tuning required on MS paint ). Comments welcome. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 This classic red phone booth is totally cool and the near red mail box is a great touch! Brick on LT! Quote

-zenn Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 The red booth looks great, but the busstop besides that looks interesting. Love the way you used those hinge windows like that. Nice work! Quote
