lightningtiger Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Since I purchased and built another 3661 from Kmart the other day, I though 'Well, I tried a post office before but it just didn't look right..' but yesterday I started and I only have some finishing details to be done so lets see what I have so far.... Well, how does it look next to the bank, enough break up of colour and does it remind anyone of post offices where they live....clue -their Prince and Princess is visiting Oz at the moment ? Comments and suggestions as usual very welcome. I'll update later once I generate extra stickers for the outside. Keep watching. Quote
CMP Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Dang, Europeans get the coolest looking buildings. This is a great little post office lightningtiger, and it blends seamlessly with the bank. I love the tiling around the doorway too. Quote
Dakar A Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I really like this post office LT! My only complaints are that it blends TOO well with the bank, so just put some other building between them. Number two is the white wall behind the mailbox. Maybe some sort of striping or window would work better there. Otherwise, this is a really well-designed MOC! Brick On Down Under, Dakar Quote
Skipper Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Nice! I just checked out your whole town, I love how it's Classic Town styled, but cooler. This little Post Office is great too, the color works great with the bank. Post on bike on mail on brick on lightningtiger! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the feedack 'Dakar A' and 'CallMePieOrDie', in researching this project I found town and city streets where buildings did flow on from one another. I too like different styles in a street....hence my Aussie town the way it looks but I set out to make a pigeon pair sort of arrangement....I'm trying to make a sticker to go above the door...custom one at that. Now also original that whited out window was also a trans-blue window piece, but thought since the mail box was sitting in front of it - white would be a better backdrop than a trans-blue piece. No guesses yet on the country of inspiration ? Oop's, sorry missed your post 'Skipper' and thank you for your comments as well. Quick edit..... Looks good or bad with the stickering ? (Though I'm happy with it ) Edit time again.... Since it was suggested - let's see which looks better whited out or trans-blue..... Edited November 23, 2011 by lightningtiger Quote
