I *think* this is the right section for this?

So I'm profiled in the December issue of Baltimore's Style magazine as one of six local collectors, and they focused (of course) on my LEGO collection and cityscape. The interview took place in the summer mainly and was very nice, the photo shoot - which amounted to one picture that only shows the city in very little detail (but it's a good pic) - was also pleasant, and I even got follow-up calls from a fact checker. During that call I went over all the specifics they wanted to get right. I specifically explained to them that "LEGOs" is wrong and that the company itself dissuades people from using that euphemism and that it should be "LEGO bricks" or...well, you all know.

So guess what? Got my issue in the mail, and it's a sweet article that mainly has a positive tone but that refers *consistently* to my collection as "LEGOS" (they even capitalized the S as if it became part of the brand name). ARGH!

On top of that, they refer to my collecting LEGO as "all American," which I suppose might be valid, but since it's a worldwide brand originating in Denmark, that rings a bit hollow and presumptuous.

Sigh. What can ya do?

If they haven't started printing and distributing them yet (though by now they probably have...) you could try emailing them about it. Might not work, but there is still a tiny chance they might fix the mistakes.

Oh I'm talking about the final magazine, that's the first time I saw the piece as written. :)

Well, we do what we can.
