Etzel Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 The party takes look around in the village of Jernel. Most people are out in the fields so they don't find anyone to talk to. But behind one of the houses they find a rubbish heap that contains some maybe useful items: Ice bombs x2 A pointy stick (WP:1) Suitable for Knights and Mages A shovel Party leader, how will these items be distributed?
CorneliusMurdock Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Ice bombs! Cronk gives one bomb each to Glorfindel and Gligin. Shovel can go to Aragon. Cronk will keep pointy stick for now. Never know when a pointy stick will come in handy.
Etzel Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Cronk distributes the items accordingly: Cronk (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 13.5 Knight Power: 24 Health: 22/22 Gold: 101 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Potion (2), Bedroll, Pointy Stick (WP:1) Sir Glorfindel (Played by soccerkid6) Level 6 Knight Power: 9 Health: 15/15 Gold: 1 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3), Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword), Ice bomb Sir Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 11 Knight Power: 18 Health: 20/20 Gold: 25 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Pongcanis Shield (SP: 3), Shadeux Sword(WP:4), Potion, Bedroll, Shovel Elgar Gligin (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 6 Ranger Power: 10 Health: 11/11 Gold: 19 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion, Ice bomb Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 13 Cleric Power: 19 Health: 22/22 Ether: 17/18 Gold: 100 Inventory:Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 2 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem, Smelling Salts, Common Axe (WP:5) The party don't find anything else interesting in the small village so they goes back into the forest. It's much more comfortable at this time of the day and the only animals they see are some friendly squirrels and small singing birds. When they reach the place for last night's battle, it is empty and the party is free to continue on. However, just a short bit further the path splits in 2 directions. Will the party turn left or right?
CorneliusMurdock Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Party will try left path. With no other information Cronk feels this pretty much coin flip.
Jedi master Brick Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I say don't go left, my gut says go right.
soccerkid6 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I have a very strong feeling we need to go right.
Tamamono Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 "I'm fine with either way. It's basically a toss-up at this point."
CorneliusMurdock Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I say don't go left, my gut says go right. I have a very strong feeling we need to go right. Cronk already say left. If left not take Friends where friends want go, party will come back and take path to right. Do not worry. For big decisions, Cronk will ask for input. Like when fleeing from ants. For now party will take road less traveled by. Cronk want see if it make difference.
Etzel Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 After some discussion the party goes left. While walking down the path the party notices how the forest becomes thinner and after a while the trees are replaced by prickly bushes. The party continues on the path that leads them through a dry plain with not much too see. But after following the path over a ridge they see a small camp ahead. What do the party wish to do?
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Cronk think party should just introduce party's selves and ask if party on correct path. What do friends think?
soccerkid6 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) Sure, they don't look like the evil minion type. And all we have to do, is ask if this is the road to Tanco. If no one objects let's go talk to them. Edited December 1, 2011 by soccerkid6
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Okay, party will approach camp. Cronk say, "Greetings, fellow travelers. Cronk is Cronk's name. Cronk and friends were wondering if this is indeed the correct road to Tanco. Is this the road to Tanco?"
Etzel Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Okay, party will approach camp. Cronk say, "Greetings, fellow travelers. Cronk is Cronk's name. Cronk and friends were wondering if this is indeed the correct road to Tanco. Is this the road to Tanco?" The man dressed in white turns to the party: "Yes, it is. I'm Hulion, cleric of the 1st Battalion of Light and Justice, member of the Paladin Order, and this is our camp for wounded and dismissed soldiers. What are you doing in this area with your friends, eh... "Cronk" was it?" QM note: Terrible sorry for the delay. Life happened.
soccerkid6 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 "We are on our way to Tanco, to help the rest of your battalion."
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Cronk and friends hired by Paladin Order to help at Tanco. Party is from Heroica. Is Hulion in need of any assistance before friends travel on? OR can Hulion tell Cronk anything about fighting going on? OOC: I'll post this here so it isn't lost in all the drooling over the advanced classes. I'm going out of town again on yet another long weekend trip. I don't know for sure how often I'll be able to check in or if I'll even be able to for a couple of days. Until I get back I'll put Tomas/Tammo in charge as leader. He can also choose actions for Cronk if I'm not around the quest needs to move forward. Sorry about this. Stupid family commitments.
Tamamono Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Tomas walks up to the old man in the gray, "Greetings, good sir. As my companions have already told you, we are heroes from Heroica here to reinforce the Paladin Order in Tanco. Tell me, just how bad is the fighting? Are there many enemies?" OOC: I'll post this here so it isn't lost in all the drooling over the advanced classes. OOC: Okay, I'll take care of things until you get back. Have a nice trip!
Etzel Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Hulion gives the party a tired smile. "The reinforcements, you finally arrived! You are much needed I can tell. We had a battle a couple of days ago just outside Tanco, we all thought our forces were about to claim the victory until the mercenaries got reinforcements of their own. Our army got split, one half retreated into the town which is now besieged. The other half, of which me and my brothers here were part of, were pushed back by the enemy and took heavy losses. We got separated from the others and then made camp here to take care of the wounded. I healed as many as I could and sent them back to the front, but now I'm exhausted and have to rely on traditional care. We are just four in total left here in the camp; me, two knights named Reckard and Olfrid and old man Yom, a veteran cleric of the battalion. None of us are in fighting condition though." The party can see one of the knights in the shelter and one on a stretcher outside, the elderly man with a walking stick must be old man Yom.
soccerkid6 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 So do you think we should go help the troops in the town? Or head to the front?
Jedi master Brick Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 " we should see if we can help the men in the camp, Tomas can heal them. Then we shouldhead for Tanco, then clear the island from there"
soccerkid6 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Hulion, do you know if Lord Kapriel is in the town? We are supposed to report to him for orders.
Etzel Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Hulion, do you know if Lord Kapriel is in the town? We are supposed to report to him for orders. "Lord Kapriel is probably holding out the siege inside the walls of Tanco. Hopefully he hasn't got one of those ideas about "honourable sacrifices" and "great last stands" he is keen to."
TheBoyWonder Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Is any help needed here? If not, I say we head on.
soccerkid6 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I think we should head to Tanco. And then Lord Kapriel can let us know what he needs us to do.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Situation sounds dire in Tanco. Could Tomas help heal other knights to help reinforce Paladins? OOC: Since I put Tomas in charge, I'll leave it to him to decide if we want to move on yet.
