Since my Aussie town is finished for the moment (except for a little bit of photography in a day or so), and I'm working for Avalonia....I thought a quick Town Plan style vehicle was in order.

I might have to get two classic town fire fighters to go with this.....looks like another trip to Toy Corner for me.

Comments and suggestions welcome. :classic:

Thanks for the comment 'Dakar A', but I already have the TP set's petrol tanker.....that truck pictured is modern not 50's-ish !

Anyway, in a few weeks I have a few more TP style vehicles and that building done too !

A classic tow truck would be awesome! (I like older tow trucks better than fire engines) I'd love to see one. Any color ideas or is it just a pondering thought? default_classic.gif

Well, I'm going to base it on the 1958 HO scale tow truck.

Yeah so kinda like the first picture !! :classic:

'Lightning' I have this video game, It's called Mafia 2 you might have heard of it 'Lightning' or maybe not !! But Anyway the game is set in the 50's in Amercia and of course the cop car which you play on creating is closly similar to the cop car within the game !! Now there was a feature in the game I believe it was like a car showroom type thing, and what you could do was you could view cars, and you could zoom in, rotate slowly or whatever you wanted to do !! My point is if you looked on Youtube or maybe you have this game, using this Car Showroom feature, I believe would defintly help in creating a close realistic 50's cop car !!! :sweet:

Wow that was the longest post I have posted here on EB !! Phew

I love this firetruck LT, though maybe it could use some stickers? It looks a bit plain. As for the cop car, I say DO IT! I've wanted to build a good looking 50's car for a while, maybe you could give me some inspiration.

Thanks for the comments 'Batman' and 'bootz', now the stickers - since this theme I have started stickering can only be genuine Lego sticker designs to be used.....hence I haven't stickered the car dealer yet.....but I will once I find the right stickers.

Keep watching as I hope today I can start on the next vehicle (the diner/barber's shop is still going to be finished).

As you have read already, great firetruck. I like the details and remembering to include the little cupboard/door on the side for the tools.

Cop car sounds great, I love 50's cars (American cars anyway).
