eric trax Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) Hello :) Today, somehow got a little bit of motivation to describe this monster. Truck was prepared for the latest LTTC race. It's really huge vehicle so I expeced some problems. One of the transmission route, unfortunately not lived up. Two XL motors to one gearbox its to much power... I tried to reproduce the look of a well and I think that probably made it. Many details added charm but they add weight. Power puller wheels is a heavy topic. One weighs 180g, so 6 wheels was heavier than some of the TrTr vehicles, but they give the greatest effect! :) I can not imagine KRAZ with other wheels. Technical Specifications: Weight: 4800g Length: 72,8 cm Width: 22 cm Drive: 3x XL Gearboxes: 2x linear, two gears. Ratios: 1:3 i 1:9. Scale: 1:12,5. and video... Comments are welcome :D Edited November 13, 2011 by eric trax Quote
zewy623 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 amazing but what did you use as the tarp on the back? and what does it look like under the tarp? Quote
eric trax Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 but what did you use as the tarp on the back? and what does it look like under the tarp? I put a tarp for preety look :) Originally supposed to be khaki but the package of material did not come on time :/ Under tarp Kraz look same at prototype :) Only frame, cables and motors. Quote
Darth Dino Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hi Amazing! This is why i have 8 Offroader/PP wheels. I am glad to see them working in a real TT vehicle. I have never seen them before for such usage. Unfortunately the video do not run on my Ipad. Can someone help me? Dino Quote
yoraish Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 It's truly massive and looks like it performs great! Can you upload some videos at regular speed pleas? And some more driveshaft pics will be nice too Quote
zewy623 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 again very nice vehicle but i do have a suggestion... instead of all of the bricks on the cab, why not use technic beams and plates? the model would be more sturdy then, and possibly a bit lighter weight, but its your choice. and still very nice, and whats your next project? eric trax Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Can someone help me? throw it out the window :P Can you upload some videos at regular speed pleas? And some more driveshaft pics will be nice too Unfortunately, KRAZ is already disposed, so I can`t upload more photos :/ but i do have a suggestion... instead of all of the bricks on the cab, why not use technic beams and plates? the model would be more sturdy then, and possibly a bit lighter weight, but its your choice. and still very nice, and whats your next project? Each suggestion is valuable :) It`s true KRAZ would be lighter but lost to the beauty and thats my intent. My next project is a secret, but I will appear it to Christmas :) Quote

timslegos Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 WOW! Beautiful model. The huge powerpuller wheels look really nice with the truck. And that's a good technique of putting those rollers next to the tires so they dont sag. tim Quote
eric trax Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) And that's a good technique of putting those rollers next to the tires so they dont sag. This was necessary because the axles it`s too weak for that weight and tires Finally the other trucks look like toys to KRAZ :P Edited November 13, 2011 by eric trax Quote
Ape Fight Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Brilliant truck - great Technic fuctions and good to look at too, which a lot of TT aren't. Excellent work Quote
