mattman Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Just a really basic build that I'd had sitting in the back of my head for the last couple of weeks :) We had some forestmen turn up from ebay yesterday and that just tipped me over the edge into actually building something! Sat down this afternoon and half an hour later I had this :) Lego Forestmen by Matt_Henry_Aus, on Flickr Lego Forestmen by Matt_Henry_Aus, on Flickr Lego Forestmen by Matt_Henry_Aus, on Flickr Enjoy! de Gothia Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I like it alot!! This is something that TLG themself could release! My only complaint is that the "fence" around the area where the lookouts are is to low. Adding another level should make it better in my opinion! Great work! Quote

Not tonight - just spent too much time cutting up boxes from all our lego online orders :P But will fix it tomorrow. And I'm pretty sure they did have similar sets back when the forestmen were current, but not exactly the same either. Matt Quote
Big Cam Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It's small but it's anything but basic, the different color foliage really make it pop and the tree building technique is superior to TLG's. I'd buy this set. And you've photographed it beautifully Quote
Vindicare Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 That's a cool little MOC. Looks more of an outpost than a hideout. A cool tree fort, nonetheless, good job. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 fantastic! really captured the feel of the forest! and those forestmen are free souls, not bound by 'industry safety standards' for railing heights. Quote

LOLZ at "industry safety standards" but for real this MOC is simple in its design and that is what makes it a great play feature piece Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Simply perfect! I like this beautiful MOC ...this tree is the right place for an ambush! I want to do a replica of this beautiful piece of forest! Edited November 11, 2011 by LEGO Train 12 Volts Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 A huge 'mattman', excellent tree hideout...tons of greenery too ! Keep them coming and Brick On Hide On ! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 This is actually something I was planning on building. I was just waiting on more brown pieces to build a larger tree. But this is beautifully done. I very much like it. I was going to do a few trees of larger height and then connect them with one of those "rope" bridges from Forbidden Island. It'd look really neat. The Forestmen know how to work the trees in their favor. Brilliant work! Quote

And thanks everyone for the positive comments :) Matt Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 A great hide-out, perfect to attack unwelcome visitors in the forrest! Quote
