jamie75 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I am working on something MLCAD. I have been using it for years , but, never ran into an issue like this. I mostly build with bricks and plates, with Technic pins here and there. But, Technic Beams with Technic Beams is a pain. The model I am working on needs some 4 x 6 Technic Bent Beams with a 53.13 degree bend, part number 6629. I am trying to line up more Beams and pins. But, the other pieces are no being very cooperative! When I play with the numbers in the X, Y, Z, and angle fields, I get all kinds wierd-ness. Play with one number and the piece changes on 2 axes. Too bad there wasn't a super fine grid for it? Hope I explained it well enough for someone to be help me out. Thanks, Jamie Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 This is one of the bad point's of mlcad ,what i would do is download SR 3D builder and use sr3d to build the tricky bit and then go back to mlcad for the rest. (SR3D reads mlcad files and vice-versa.) SR3D Builder How ever if you rather stay with mlcad download a clear template of a protractor from Google images to use as a guide. Right click > enter position / rotation > enter number in angle box. Hope this helps. Quote
jamie75 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 I DLed SR 3D, but, I need a new graphics card to run it, so it said. So, I guess, I need to try LDD. Thanks for the help! Jamie Quote
