Something completely different, I think if we get a new thread we should include a short introduction of the guilds players on page one so that everybody sees who is in. And I guess we need to update this rather regularily. The main reason is, that we now have several characters in Mitgardia that look similar to my avatar which is something I'm not really fond of. On the other hand I don't want to tell all those newbies to change their character.

Or a separate sticky presentation thread where all active members can make a post with their sigfig / side characters and some backstory regardless of guild?

We can then update our posts if there are major changes, or just to be able to update regularly ourselves without having someone else update for us.

If such a thread was made, it should be heavily moderated so only one post would be allowed per member.

I think the bar for such a solution would be lower than pointing to the GoH wiki, which is updated irregularly at best...

I for one am all for it. I have been toying with the idea of joining a guild, and I like my sigfig to be rather unique as well, but plowing through 400ish pages to see what is out there is *slightly* ridiculous, if you ask me

make sure it doesn't look like this:

far too many Mitgardians took up the hairpiece and some brown bearded face. So guys, this is the original, Steen Larsson, present in this guild from the beginning!!!

Well, reall men have beards

I think it's a good idea for the new book to save space for characters, with some bio and indeed a picture to prevent similar sigfigs

Beard-five BoB!

So yea...would it be inappropriate for me to start collecting things like that, and make a topic or should I make some puppy-eyes to a Mod and/or other (ranking) member?

Is mine one of them? I think both characters have the same hair and a brown moustache/beard, but nothing much else similar. My character looks a lot like Besdarc Menteno though.

I think it is funny how much the Mitgardians look similar, but I also think that it makes sense -- most of them look like Norsemen, and that hair is one good looking piece (I use it on Petera). Too bad we don't have many blonde alternatives, then they could really look Nordic.

Practically all respectable Mitgardian men (obviously the younger men don't have very full ones) have beards, but there are quite a few bearded faces to choose from. I've actually never seen Glorfindel's head used by someone else (except when another builder purposefully includes Glorfindel of course). There are quite a few bearded faces to choose from :classic:

Berelan and Glorfindel have the same torso and weapons.

Yeah, but Glorfindel has regular green arms, a brown cape, sword sheath, and a visored helmet. So they don't really look too similar :classic:

I stand by it, Mitgardians look sharp and unified.

And I'm pretty sure it will stay that way  Mitgardians stick together, you mess with one of us and you're messing with all of us...

ther's alway the chance to change guilds, at least at this moment ...

It's way too cold in MItgardia and I prefer Kaliphlin where I don't necessarily stick out like a sore thumb.
