kabel Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 some cool stuff has come up here recently and it's a pleasure to see Mitgardia flowering again. Unfortunately real life is really buisy these day, and I don't have the time to comment on all the great mocs. Sorry for that For Mitgardia Steen
Ecclesiastes Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 it's a pleasure to see Mitgardia flowering again. Indeed, great to see this! And as a reminder: Don't forget the mini-challenges!
Blaze Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Yeah Mitgardia is doing great! Too bad I won't be able to contribute for a couple of weeks. I'm finally going to live on my own after 22 years, so most of the time I have I'll use to work on the house. And I don't even know if I can take all my Lego with me I do have one last big moc which I hope to finish before I move over, so I'll go out with a bang!
kabel Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 so, I've been playing around with lighting, and sunlight seems to have worked the best:
Blaze Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Did you grow a beard, steen? I'll have to replace your figs head in my moc than, I allready had you in it without the beard
kabel Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 yeah, steen has started growing a beard after he was elected into the thing. He wanted to look a little more mature
Basiliscus Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 The Air Shrine, where the air crystal resides: [snip - fantastic WIP] now to place it in the scene. Counting down the those last days... Awesome work Cara, can't wait to see this finished!
rucorder Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Hello fellow Mitgardians! After a prolonged break, I'm looking forward to getting involved again! At the moment most of my bricks are taken up in a large display, but I may be able to get an entry together for the slum challenge.
Blaze Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 rucorder Great that you are going to be more active! I've seen your work on mocpages and I really like your builds. I still am curious though how you attach that visor to your minifigs, I can only achieve that look by bending them alot.. Kabel Your fig has been updated. Coincedently I bought a small kingdoms set tuesday, which had the exact head included
bartjuh Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Anyway, here is a work in progress picture of my build for the third quest, 'The ruin of Gorradil'. Yesterday I finally received the last missing parts to complete the third challenge. Tomorrow I'll post the story and pictures
soccerkid6 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Cool, I'm glad to hear you will be able to finish in time
Cara Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 HELP!!! At what time does the Challenge 3 finish tomorrow and have to be posted by? I am PST. My air temple took flight when it was knocked off the table. It was fine as in its element, however when it met the earth element that was a different matter....
soccerkid6 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 That's too bad Cara I hope you can get it back together in time, especially after such a great start.
NiceMarmot Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 HELP!!! At what time does the Challenge 3 finish tomorrow and have to be posted by? I am PST. My air temple took flight when it was knocked off the table. It was fine as in its element, however when it met the earth element that was a different matter.... Ouch, sorry to hear about that -- the WIP photo looked great. Usually the deadline is end-of-day, anywhere in the world, which I take to mean Hawaii time, although there probably is a timezone an hour or two later than Hawaii. So depending on where you live, that could give you some serious extra time into the next day. The Aussies and Kiwis get nearly a full extra day.
Cara Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Phew! that great then. Since I'm out for half of each day so I have this evening to fix and tomorrow afternoon to photograph.
soccerkid6 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Here is one more entry to the defenses mini-challenge: And a link to the topic: My link
Sirens-of-Titan Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Great entrees so far Guildsmen! How good it is to see all the excellent Mitgardian MOC'ers putting on a display of skill that rivals the best builders on both MOCPages and Flickr! Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the rest of these!
Stormbringer Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Hey, I have a question about the deadline for the contest. Does it end exactly on the 12th? Or does it end at around 11:59 pm of the 12th?
Blaze Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Stormbringer I think that you have till 12pm in the latest timezone (probably Australia) so you'll have the entire day tomorow. But I don't know this for sure, so maybe a guild leader could confirm?
kabel Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 australia would suck, hawaii is better!! I'm on my way to buy blue cardboard ...
Cara Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) I couldn't ask in the main thread about the contest deadline because its locked. Anyway I'm finished aside from the inevitable fiddling , I just have to photograph it in good light tomorrow. But until then.... Edited May 14, 2012 by Cara

Anyway I'm finished aside from the inevitable fiddling , I just have to photograph it in good light tomorrow. But until then.... Holy cow... *oh2* A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! If i were a judge i'd just hand you the joust right now... Edited May 12, 2012 by gabe
Hyler Talliwell Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 That is incredible. I have never seen anything of its like before. I agree with Gabe that you should be handed the joust. That is a wondrous build.
Tazmaniac Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Holy cow... *oh2* A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! If i were a judge i'd just hand you the joust right now... That is incredible. I have never seen anything of its like before. I agree with Gabe that you should be handed the joust. That is a wondrous build. Well you will be the judges as I believe this challenge is going to the public for voting and the guild points will be independently awarded.
