eliminator Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I know the scale is off on the Tower Bridge, but does anyone have one in their city layout? I think it should work pretty good as a pedestrian bridge..... I'm looking for layout ideas, especially with the modulars. Quote
medib Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I dont know about that... it might be a nifty idea. I seen it the Tower Bridge used as a railroad bridge with slight modification. Quote
bootz Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I could see the Tower Bridge as any sort of minifig-scale bridge. I'd like to combine two and have it span a small river as a two lane bridge for cars. Quote

If only they weren't so expensive... But a pedestrian bridge would be almost as nice IMO. I'd say go for it if you can. If you end up not liking it, you could alway resell it later and make your money back; maybe a few extra, as well Quote

I wish I had the extra cash for TB. The Pet Shop just came in the mail yesterday and next on my list is the Grand Emporium. My town has a long way to go before I could even incorporate the TB into it. I could be mistaken, but I'm .pretty sure there was another topic on a TB MOD not too long ago. Quote

eliminator Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 I think I'm going to give up on using the TB as an actual bridge for my layout. At this point, it's just too big. I think I'll use it as two government type buildings, or even combine the two to make tall clock tower. I'm not really into MOC-ing much. Quote

That too was my priority; modulars first. Now I have time to hold off on the PS but, I'd like to get the airport as my next big spend With holidays fast approaching, its going to be tough... This is how I've done it... [pics] Not bad, is it used as a ped. bridge? Quote

My car dealership is built mostly with pieces from my classic Town airport. I preferred that one to the City one too. After the modulars, I may get a train, if I don't start doubling up on modulars. eliminator Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 Great looking town Bachus. I didn't realize how big the Eiffel Tower was compared to the Tower Bridge. Quote
