Kumpelkante Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Hey guy, I am warming up for the Colossal Castle Contest. Heres my first entry, which is for the Hidden Treasure Category. It shows a House of a italian town between 1400 and 1450. The town fell after a siege and is now about to be plundered. Fortunately a wealthy merchant, who is pretty clever as well, hid his most precious belongings in a cave under his mansion. THe entrance to the cave is through the the fireplace, so that nobody would dare to look there. Folder when public Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Excellent creation 'Kumpelkante', I the exterior stonework ! Cheeky entrance to the cellar eh ? Brick On Hide On 'Kumpelkante' ! Quote
Jack Bricker Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Great Job. It reminds me a lot of the Auditore Villa in Assassins Creed 2. I also love how you made the lit fireplace as the cellar door. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Ha! Silly Knights, taking the wooden chest... if they only knew what lies beneath! Nice build! I like those cheese wedges you used there! Quote
Brinstar Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 This is a wonderful MOC! I really like the design of the house and the way it is complete on one side and open on the other. From the outside your house is beautifully built and I really like the aesthetics on the inside, especially the cellar! The way you have displayed your mini-figs really helps tell a story and bring your scene to life. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 This is a really great MOC. I love the cut away view showing the secret passage behind the fireplace. Do you have any shots with more of an inside view, like looking into the fireplace? If not that's cool, it looks really good, the multi-level action with the missing wall is nice because you get to see everything all at once. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Neat mansion 'Kumpelkante'. I too agree, the masonry work is very nice, as with the detailed interior, especially the downstairs. I must take my leave but, I'm afraid I left something in the basement; be right back! *snatch* Great job and good luck with the contest Quote
de Gothia Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 If this is warming up for you I want to see when you are warmed up! Seriously, a great moc! So many details and I love the story you put behind it! Great work!! Quote
