Everybody(well, not everybody) knows that they're coming out with a Live-Action Transformers Movie next year... Would that not be an awesome idea for a Lego Theme? Just for the movie, I mean. Higher quality than those BTR crap block-rip-off things that Hasbro made...

Man, I could see it now, A set with Optimus against Megatron, maybe some city scenes with battling robots.

What do you think?

i like to see lego make a perfectly transformable transformer figure. :-P until then i would rather lego make something else. :-P

p.s. by transformable, i mean without having to dismantle the model. :-D (i just know some smart alec will pull that comment...)

No thanks.

I like the Transformers franchise, but I really don't want too many licences clogging up the LEGO product line. I mean, Star Wars is a total cash cow, so I can understand the longevity of that licence, but TFs? Again, no thanks.

I think similarly but Transformers never appealed to me. Anyway it is probably possible to make good transformer MOCs using existing pieces?

I also spent hours as a kid trying to make transforming LEGO. I worked hard my Inspector Gadget car which sort-of worked, but didn't look anything like the actual car :-/ .

Again, yes. But only if done properly. It would have to transform properly, which i'll admit isn't an easy feat. I'd rather have a line of classic (ie. G1) transformers, but the movie could work.
