de Gothia Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) Here we go again. This time it´s the Royal Knights The attack was sudden. The Royal Knights didn´t know what happen on the evening when the stones began to drop down from the sky. The western wall soon crumbled down. Soon the Bulls Knights began to storm the castle. In the morning the catapults were thorned down. The bodies laid shattered around the debris of what once was the western wall. Many lifes were gone but the Royal Knights had succeded to defend their homes. The dead were buried and the slaugthered enemies was burned. Some of the soldiers had discovered some Dragon Masters amongs the dead. Soon they realized their betrayal. The great war was here... C&C much welcome! Khorne Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great MOC! I love how you portrayed the aftermath of a battle and not the battle itself, as is commonly done. The crying figs at the casket of the dead Royal Knight truly add life to the scene, as does the burning of the dead. Are there going to be more MOCs from you, portraying this "great war" story? Quote
supersympa Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 great MOC De Gothia. interesting idea of "the morning after". Really like it. Quote
Hartfan Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great idea. Love it all. Great work man. WOW ! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I never seen Moc with so much emotions inside! When I read the story and saw the picture.. I started crying. Quote
Wardancer Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 So great! I like the fire, the round tower, the storyline and the overall level of violence. Quote
de Gothia Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 Thanks a lot!! Lordofdragonss: Oh thank you, glad you liked it so much! Khorne: Thanks. Yes the start of the great war has been in some of me prev mocs. As in my Bulls Knights, Dragon Masters and in my moc "Ambush". The remaining two factions will also show this. It´s the Dragon Knights and the Wildboars left. Before these are made I have a couple ideas that I´m going to build. Quote
Viceroy Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great job de Gothia, a very pretty moc and great use of your minifigs to portray the grim aftermath of battle. Quote
Kerntechniker Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great!!! I enjoy all the details you've added. The damaged wall looks great and really realistic. How long have you been working on this MOC? Quote
de Gothia Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 Great!!! I enjoy all the details you've added. The damaged wall looks great and really realistic. How long have you been working on this MOC? Thanks! This moc took about 2 weeks. Viceroy: Thanks! I thought it would be a good idea not to show the battle itself but the aftermath as you said! Quote
Pizinho Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Amazing! loved the details at the "war" scene, especially the cut off head! Quote
Niku Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I have to say this is your best at the moment, and counting the other ones were really good, you could tell this mark a deep impression on me. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Awesome, you don't so this kind of scenery a lot. Great way of showing the things after a battle like burning the bodies! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Very nice build. I'm super impressed you build that so quickly - the crumbled wall is very nicely done. Fantastic build  Quote
Vindicare Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) Very cool take on a castle scene, one I haven't seen on here, personally. I like all the details you've thrown in to really get the feel and aftermath of battle. Edited November 5, 2011 by Legocrazy81 Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) Another outstanding MOC de Gothia! The castle is perfectly builded, and the war scene is great ...I like the smoke near the fire: it's a very original idea! Totally cool! Edited November 5, 2011 by LEGO Train 12 Volts Quote
lorax Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 A beautiful build. Not only is the construction beautiful, but the emotion and detail in the scene is amazing. Even more amazing, you built it in 2 weeks. Awesome work. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Another great build! Great work on all the details of the castle, I like the ruined effect from the battle. The landscape is also nicely done and looks lush and green. Keep these great builds coming! Quote
de Gothia Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 Thank you all so much! Derfel: Thanks, I´m inspired by your works in my landscape! I just love the tree made of the tubes! Quote
Brinstar Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Outstanding MOC de Gothia! You have really captured the aftermath of a battle very convincingly and the scene is full of delicate little touches (the look of dismay on the soldiers faces and the knights head on a poll) which really add to the overall effect. Both the castle and the landscape are also beautifully designed, overall very impressive. Quote
Dark Knight Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Oh this is so lovely! Wonderful ruin scene after a war Quote
Big Cam Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 This is fantastic, it looks like a real village, instead of just having a house, or a castle, or a small forest scene, it has the whole deal. I think my favorite bit is the bonfire, looks great. Quote
