Paul Boratko Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I like to drink beer and watch cartoons(The Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, South Park) while I build... What types of things do you like to do while you work on your creations...? Quote
dikkie klijn Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I listen to Radio Veronica. For the rest not much. Quote
GuiliuG Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I do nothing else than MOCing when I'm with my lego, it's so a pleasure^^. Sometimes, I listen some songs but it's very rare^^ Quote
T_Tank Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 When I build I'm normally on skype with some friends an making them deaf with the sound of thousands of bricks moving around :D Quote
Moz Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Sometimes music playing, very occasionally a TV comedy if I'm in the mood, but usually I just have the whining of my girlfriend in the background. ( {grins} ) Quote
Burf2000 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Most my building is while I am watching a movie or up in the Lego room listening to music past 12 pm Quote
RohanBeckett Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I have an 18month old little boy.. so building any time that he's awake is impossible! late at night, is the only chance I get to open up all my sorted trays, and build something! I usually have a few tv shows to watch.. or a movie.. but my computer is behind me, so it's a bit hard to watch and build. RB Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Raving to trance and progressive music cranked up nice and loud. Quote
Wiseman_2 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I usually stick on some metal or rock music. If it's only going to be a short build I'll just stick it on shuffle, otherwise I cherry pick albums to listen to. Quote
nielsvdv Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 very occasionaly I watch bleach, an anime serie, just random pick episodes i love :) or some music, but my ipod broke down a few months ago :( ... if I can choose between an ipod or 2 lego sets, i choose the lego sets :P Quote
tedbeard Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I like to put on an old favorite movie and half listen to it in the background. It gives me a good excuse to look up and stretch out every once in a while. Otherwise I can stay hunched over so long I get cramps in my neck and shoulder muscles. Quote
Meatman Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I enjoy watching a good comedy while I build. it seems to make the building experience that much more enjoyable. Quote
Seluryar Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) I will either listen to music from my computer, or depending on what time it is, I will be watching tv(or at least be listening to tv). Edited November 2, 2011 by Seluryar Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I generally do little else while I'm building, unless one counts things that I just "set going" and that require little or no intervention (for example, starting a load of laundry and then building while it's in the washer, stopping only to move the load into the dryer and then building some more while it dries). I do sometimes put on some music, usually movie soundtracks (especially when building from licensed themes for which I have the movie / TV soundtracks). Quote
aposaric Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I tend to start with beer, and then I swithch to whiskey, and then I realise that I am 29, and I just go out :-) so that is the reason I don't finish any of my Lego stuff, but I am having a blast while building it. It is the process of building and construction that interests me, not the final result, I just can't be bothered :-) Quote

grohl Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) I listen to rock music. When I build some scaled model, I check the photos of the real thing. I often use Sariel's LEGO Scaler, which was a great help when building the VIGGEN. Edited November 2, 2011 by grohl Quote
kibosh Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I always end up with a brick or two in my mouth. No clue why. No teeth marks though! Quote
Darth Dino Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hi i tell my 3yo son for the umpteenth time no to put all the sortet tehnic pins into every technic hole that is still empty :) We allways build together so it took us a loooong but gooood time ;) Dino Quote
timslegos Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I usually watch videos of my favorite youtubers or listen to podcasts. tim Quote
Crtlego Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Raving to trance and progressive music cranked up nice and loud. It is nice to know of another technic builder who shares my taste in music. Other than doing this, I am probably with my parents and brother watching a movie in the living room. Normally, I will take out my Legos on a Friday night and leave them there throughout the weekend to build in my spare time since I can't build legos on school days. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Sometimes I listen to music while I build, but when my brain gets fried, I watch a bit of TV before getting back into my project. Quote
CP5670 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I often listen to music (on headphones), usually computer game soundtracks. Quote
PlaneCrazy Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I often listen to music (on headphones), usually computer game soundtracks. Most of the time sit in front of the TV once 3 year old has gone to bed. When three year old insists on "helping" she is given a container to "help" sort parts. 9 out of ten time all the colourful transperant bricks and plates end up in the container. At least I know where to look when I need one of those. Quote
