TheKingOfBuilding Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Today I will be showing you my Lego version of Number 4 Privet Drive. It includes all of the rooms (except Dudley's bedroom but I decided having a bathroom in Number 4 would be much more intresting) that are seen and mentioned in the films and books. As a extra feature, the house can hinge open so you can see the rooms inside. Now, onto the photos... The Exterior A view of the front of the house. I used some dark orange and dark tan bricks to create a stonework feel and the old and new grey roof tiles for a weathered look. And the back garden with the bars on Harry's window. Opened Up Privet drive hinged open. Privet Drive hinged open inside. A much better look at the layout of the rooms. The Rooms The cupboard under the stairs. The lounge with the latest flatscreen TV. (For the Dursley's little Duddlykins) The kitchen and dining area. I see Dudley is enjoying himself. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon's bedroom. (I borrowed stole the raidiator design from the market sreet) The bathroom. Like I mentioned before, it was either this or another bedroom for Dudley Dursley. And lastly, Harry's bedroom. I hope you liked my Number 4 Privet Drive MOC and as allways, comments and suggestions are welcome! Another little feature is that you can unfold the model to create the appearance of two houses. lightningtiger Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Yep, that's it....plain as but with excellent detailing inside....trust Uncle Vernon buying a wide screen television eh ? Great designing there 'TheKingOfBuilding' and Brick On while casting spells ! Quote
Geertos13 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Amazing job on this Great MOC! A really wonderful idea! I've seen loads of these over the internet but yours is defenatly one of the best so far! As a HP lover, I of course know that Number one rule at Privet Drive is hard and stiff and no questions And you captured that feeling perfectly well! When I read "both accurate to book and movie" I was expecting some weird looking thing that mixed everything up, but no! It was good! The house of Privet must of course be plain from the outisde as said lightningtiger but the inside detailling is great! Where did you get that TV if I may ask ? I've never seen it before I like the toilets and Harry's room a lot, especially the bars on the outisde, so simple yet so good! I also like the verandah looks really cool! The only thing that bugs me is the fact that it's microscale. It does look gourgeous, but next to the window, it seems a little small... can't imagine Dudley getting his fat a$$ threw these small doors And to finish just one small thing, if I were you, I'd rather have Vernon's hair match the mustache. You probably don't have the pieces for it, but a brown moustache would look slightly better in my opinion. So, this is an amazing building with great detail and nice furniture and accuracy! Great job! Quote

Great job! I'm glad you liked my Privet Drive! I got the flatscreen from 7208 Fire Station and the smaller TV from 7639 Camper . I know, the verandah is a little bit on the small side but the size of the baseplates I used meant the kitchen and Harry's bedroom would be a whole lot less spacious. Also, there's two reasons why I didn't use the brown mustache version of that head: 1. I do not own that brown mustached head. (although theres allways Bricklink ) 2. After viewing the "Flesh Vernon Dursley" topic here on Eurobricks, someone suggested using the brown mustached head for Vernon in his younger years and the grey mustache (the one I used) for Vernon in his later years. In the Philosopher's Stone film, Vernon's mustache was already grey and nowhere near a shade of brown! Also stay tuned for my next Harry Potter MOC - it will include Power+Functions! Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Great job!! An updated version of the Privet Drive set was something I've really been wanting to see from TLG. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Outstanding MOC! I like the inner rooms and that beautiful furniture. The web in the garret is a great detail! Quote
Godtshep Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Fantastic MOC! Although the conservatory window is too small. Still, Love it! Quote
