Hi all,

LEGOWorld in Zwolle was held this week (or last week?). Various galleries show great stuff AFOLs put on display. As train fan I was caught by a long, long layout with a massive modern bridge and some really nice European high speed trains running on the layout.

Some pictures could be found in here for example:

Who did built this layout? I would be interested in your experiences (length of loop, numbers of motors in trains, number of speed regulators and power access points, etc, etc ...

Great layout! Great pics of trains on the bridge!

Too bad you weren't there the whole week... although, I ended up with food poisoning, so... But it was a very nice layout indeed.

Hi Holger,

I don't know about the bridge and layout, but it seems the rolling stock is by Gerard Salden. See more at RailBricks latest issue, page 23.

Hello people,

I am the builder of the trains and the lay-out.

It's big already but it's now finished :).

Hi Gerard,

congratulations to your train layout! Really an eyecatching thing for LEGO train fans.

I am interested in some facts, maybe you are willing to share?

+ length of total loop in track elements

+ length and width of overall table layout

+ number of attached power supplies to the loop

+ number of speed regulators used

+ number of motors on the trains (just two or more per train?)

+ Are there any youtube videos available?

many thanks :). I have enough reactions to it on LegoWorld.

- On the loop i'm coming back later today or tomorrow.

- The length of my lay-out is 15m long and 3,5m with. Next year it must be twice as big. And then added with a station a double track loop, longer bridge and more straight track.

- The power was, 2 speed regulators (2 for just driving on normal speed) and another speed regulator with 15V / 1A for the high speed on the straight track.

- on LegoWorld i was driving with 2 motors, but on full length (10 wagons) i'm driving with 4 motors. Only on the Thalys i'm always driving with 4 motors, it's easier because i don't have to chance the motors.

- some videos

And 2 videos from my test lay out in august

enough to see :-P

Greetz,

Gerard
