legocanuck Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hey guys, not sure if this type of thing has been done before, or if it's prohibited but I thought I'd ask. Basically I've found something on ebay that I'd like to buy, problem is the seller only ships to the states. If you think you'd be able to help please PM about details. Again, if this type of request is not allowed please feel free to delete this thread. Thanks!
wokajablocka Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I have wondered this before. If other EB members in other counties would let us post to their address and the EB member sending it on to us. It would be good for those hard to get sets or promotions but you would have to be carful of postage and make sure its not more that getting it post stright to you. But if I wanted some bargins from Amazon, they dont send to Australia so I could get it sent to the states and get someone to forward it on to me. If you got free shipping on the first postage im sure us in Autralia could save some money ( and pass on a little to the sender for handeling charges of course). I got my mate to buy the Battle of Endor for $100 when it cost us $220 here in australia, he bought it home with him and didnt even have to pay for postage .
DrWeevil Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 If you are in Australia I know a service that offers this, for a reasonable price. USPS shilling price plus $14ish USD plus paypal 3%.

When I've found auctions like that I've messaged the seller and asked politely whether they would make an exception. I think in all cases they agreed to send to the U.K. Beware that you don't get stung by customs charges that can make the item not such a bargain!
legocanuck Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Thanks for the input guys. I've tried contacting the seller, but they don't allow messages :( I was thinking I either bid on it, ship it to a US address and then have them ship it to me. I also tried contact webuyitforyou.com but no response yet.

legocanuck Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Yes, but after selecting to continue to contact them I get this message... We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.

It should give you an option to contact the member at that same page, if it won't then that is very unusual
