Hi all!

I've been looking around the internet for ages but can't find anything that helps.

LDD cannot connect to the internet. It tells me whenever I start it up.

This is only on my pc (win xp prof sp3). On my mom's notebook (win 7) it works just fine.

I've reinstalled several times, and several versions. Cleaned the registry of lego entries but still no go.

For testing purposes I disabled AV and firewall on my pc. Notebook works fine with AV enabled. Both connect through the same router.

Doen ANYBODY have ANY idea?! I'm running in to walls and it's driving me mad :S

Kind regards,

- Little_Ghost

My experience is that many firewalls are not really disabled when you disable that.

If it is not a problem, try to uninstall it temporarily.

Check your proxy settings and hosts file too.

Your LDD is up to date, right?

@ little_ghost: Welcome to Eurobricks. Here's something to try on your Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3:

1) Open Lego Digital Designer. Once it tells you that it cannot connect to the Internet, press Cntl-Alt-Delete to get to open your Windows Task Manager.

2) Once in Task Manager, go to the "Processes" tab and find LDD.exe. Right-click on it and look at its "Properties."

3) Once in the "Properties" window, go to the "Compatibility" tab and check-off the box that allows you to "Run this program in compatibility mode for...Windows XP (Service Pack 2)." Press the "Apply" button at the lower-right, then "OK" and back out of the various windows.

4) Close LDD and restart it. If it still doesn't connect to the Internet, then undo the Compatibility Mode steps and hope somebody else here on Eurobricks has a better idea.

Have you allowed LDD it to connect to the internet,In AVG you can allow or block programs in the AVG program,It still might be blocked even though you have turned off your firewall.
