lightningtiger Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Time for another redo (yet, again) but a start of an industrial estate. A new floor is going into the factory/workshop side and machinery is being repositioned - I still have to find all the minfig's and accessories that go with it. Freight and fuel depots will be among the future MOC's.....suggestions ? Quote
HighFlyer Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I like these buildings very much - they are similar to typical buildings in England. I do feel though that a small amount of black should be introduced into the colour scheme, for a little contrast in colour. Suggestions... hmn... I'll get thinking for you!! Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Thanks 'HighFlyer' and 'Mark FraaKlin' for your comments, the floor in the factory side is being covered in 4x3 minifig base plates...only need another 3 and it's done. I have reduced the width of my creation by 10 studs and for some silly reason looks more I created more space ? (oh, well.....looking at cold storage depots and road/rail depots too....truck dealerships too ) Brick On and keep watching ! Quick edit - found my BOC arc welding unit and my stock of drive belts to go on the display wall hook. Hopefully I can update tonight, new interior shots...close ups etc.,. More photo's to come.....once I have fresh batteries for the camera. Quick edit - fresh batteries. Oops, forgot one..... Edited October 22, 2011 by lightningtiger Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Nice workshop full of superb details! I like the black floor made with minifig pedestals: it give a technical look to the scene. The gas thanks (for welding I suppose) are great: I love that pressure gauges! Awesome drilling machine and lathe Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks 'LT12V' for your kind words, I have edited the post above again....cheeky worker is checking something out on the wall ! I still have the floor to finish plus add another piece of machinery/equipment.....oh, yes that is a gas welding rig with the right number of gauges too ! Keep watching.....even more changes and new things coming. Quote
Kryne Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Awesome details, so many things to see and very creative work. Well done Quote

HighFlyer Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Awesome workshop - so many lovely, realistic details! The inclusion of the black minifigure stands is... interesting...; I'm thinking regular black 2x2 tiles would look better - comparison?? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks for the comments 'HighFlyer', now those 4x3 plates....yes, well I don't have enough black 2x2 tiles and I have a lot of those plates plus they are handy to mount/display figures or machinery ! Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for your new photos lightningtiger! It`s Beatiful industrial estate. Ohhh Last photo is very beatiful, too!!!! Thanks to you 'Mark F' for your kind words, most of this MOC has been seen before by member's when I posted it in a slightly different design (but it was too big and fell apart....hence the redesign now ). But never have I been able to do such close up photography, you can even see dirty tiles....but hey it's meant to be....it's a place for builders and mechanics to shop at and get machinery etc., fixed or built. Suggestions still welcome. Quote
