Which software has the most different type of bricks since Lego's software does not have all, I find that rather lame indeed.

Any advise welcome

The short answer is that LDD has more of the newer bricks and LDraw has more of the older ones.

The long answer is that if you're good at modeling your own bricks, LDraw will let you add them, otherwise, it depends on what you plan to build. LDraw offers more freedom, but you have to know what you're doing to take full advantage of that freedom.

Interesting ...

As I noticed that XP is required for LDraw.

It think it's a shame that all the bricks are not there to be honest that's what put me off using it, since it was something I was going to get into.
