Blake Baer Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hello all, The large contest on MOCpages is going on now, and my 3rd round category was "There's no place like home." The original context for the quote came from The Wizard of Oz, so things naturally fell in place for me. I chose to depict Dorothy's first experience of Munchkin Land. Anyway I hope you like it, and I would appreciate it if you would leave C&C to let me know what you think. Thanks! God bless, Blake (Pics link to MOCpages) The flickr photo can be found here. Quote
Dr Rod Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Looks great, vibrant colours, been so long since I saw the film. Splattered witch is cool! Quote
brickmack Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Looks nice. I haven't seen The Wizard of Oz so I don't know how accurate it is (Though some of those minifigs look a bit odd for a movie of that time, like the guy with the rocker mohawk), but I do like the design. The buildings (houses?) look nice, and the spiral looks good also. Is the bush in the lower left corner picture just made using regular flower parts connected using travis bricks? That's what it looks like, but I can't tell for sure. Edited November 21, 2011 by brickmack Quote

Nick Wolfe Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Why is this in Sci-Fi... It does look fantastic however! The original novel was Science Fiction, and where else would you suggest this go? Great model, though. I love the houses and Toto in particular. And the wicked witch's feet. Quote
