joopsta Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hi guys, I was thinking, since I have little space and 5 modular buildings next to eachother. How about "wall modulars"? So you only build the front wall of a house/shop. I was thinking a 4X32 plate (don't even know if that exists) and then build the front on it. After it's finished, you can hang it on the wall like a painting. And hang others next to it. I'm planning to make one in LDD, but I haven't got much time and ain't really quick with the program. Maybe an experienced MOCer can make one in LDD quick? Please let me know what you think of the idea. Grtz Joopsta. Quote
Locutis Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 They are doing the mini modulars I think what 'joopsta' means is a building that from the front is the same size as a modular building, so it's 32 studs wide. However, 'joopsta' mentions building it only 4 studs deep, so it would be a facad only. I think this is a neat idea, and I'd love to see it! Locutis Quote

Both the corner buildings will give you trouble for obvious reasons, especially the sign over the door of the Grand Emporium. Even the Green Grocer needs at least 6 studs because of the stairs in the front and the sloping roof above. If you do try this digitally, be sure to post the results - I think a lot of us would be curious to see them. Quote

I think at least 8 would be the proper ratio, possibly even more depending on how the Cafe Corner turns out. Locutis Quote
