tchuk-norst Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 What will tchuk-norst's next airship be? Here's some teaser pictures until the full model is revealed. Who is this fellow with matching pistols and a fashionable mustache? And what could this contraption be? A cannon? A telescope perhaps? Only time will tell. Be sure to check soon for more pictures! Skipper Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Hey, look! No hands! Looks great so far, love the turret. Figs are excellent as well, the Harry Potter torsos work really well with steampunk. Now show us the whole thing! Pweez? Edited October 11, 2011 by Skipper Quote
tchuk-norst Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 And the reveal! I haven't named her yet, what do you suggest? The full image. An in-time photo. The fearless crew! Comments and criticism appreciated. Quote
Horry Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Oh wow, that's a thing of beauty! I especially like the engines-section - it looks very functional What about vulture as a name? Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 She doesn't disappoint, however I have no idea what you should call her. Quote
Skipper Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Love it! Using the Viking hulls upside-down is brilliant, and the greebling round back is excellent as well. I like Horry's suggestion Vulture, it fits the sharply curved ends of your ship. Why do you have orcs in your crew? Any backstory? Only advice I have for you is to take more pictures. Quote

Oh I do, if you check my Brickshelf Gallery (when moderated) you can see more. I'll put more up as I can. Like this one of some of the engine on the back. Quote
Legostein Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Hello! Again, a great addition for the steampunk universe. I especially like the use of the printed dished which match perfectly with the theme. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Xarrzan Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Nicely done. I tried hard to think of a better name than Vulture but just couldn't. It fits so well. V-ariable U-ltra L-ight U-nit R-efracting E-asychair Quote
Hollander Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Awesome creation tchuk-norst! You've made well use of the viking ship hulls, and the detailing is really good on this one. Nice dual cannons too. Quote
tchuk-norst Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Nicely done. I tried hard to think of a better name than Vulture but just couldn't. It fits so well. V-ariable U-ltra L-ight U-nit R-efracting E-asychair I'm not sure if easychair is applicable to the Vulture. Quote
tchuk-norst Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 I just made a new version with a longer hull, anyone interested in seeing it? Quote

Horry Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 So, do you actually call it Vulture now? :) I'd love to see more of this design! Quote
tchuk-norst Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 Presenting! The second version of the Vulture! Featuring a longer hull and a new crew. And here's a wider view. And the fearless pirate crew. And, of course, a timely picture. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Really nicely done. Could use a few more gold highlights - but over all fantastic job. Great shape, interesting details. very nicely done. Quote
sok117 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Awesome ship! I really like how you inverted the hull pieces to give it your own unique touch! I'm really liking this creation. Could use a few more gold highlights - but over all fantastic job. Great shape, interesting details. very nicely done. I dunno, I feel like the crew might have chipped all the gold details off to buy women and rum... Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I have to say that the name 'Nut-cracker' came to mind as I was reading through this and looking at the photos. I think the hull shape looks like a half section of a nut of some kind especially in the reddish brown colour. Quote
