Sid Sidious Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 After fighting valiantly to rescue the treasures of Amset-Ra, Jake Raines is finally captured by the flying mummies. They lead him to their secret temple and are about to sacrifice Jake to appease their heathen gods. The arch of the temple. The temple from the side The back of the temple. I think it looks a little like a bird face, with the wheels as eyes and the slope as the beak. i didn't plan this while building it, but it does make sense seeing as the mummies are flying mummies and are wearing helmets that look like birds. I made this entire MOC out of pieces from 7307: Flying Mummy Attack. I didn't use any of the extra pieces. This is the first MOC I've put on Eurobricks and your constructive criticism is welcome. lightningtiger Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Interesting MOC 'Sid Sidious', very creative and in the wrong topic....this needs to go in the Action forum. I'll get a moderator to move it for you. Brick On while running away from those mummies ! Quote
wokajablocka Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Nice alternative build. I like alternaitive builds as they use your imagination and skills to make something else out of the kit. Remember the days of TLG putting alternitive builds in all their kits. Seems like those days are over Quote
meyerc13 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 This is a really neat creation. It has sort of a cargo cult feel to it, with the mummies worshiping the parts of a downed plane. Quote
streifen Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 the propeller behind (i assume it is a working one) will make mincemeat out of the pilot! nice MOC with a cool object of worship (the downed plane)! Quote
Sid Sidious Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Thanks for your compliments. I'm glad you like this. The propeller was originally just a backdrop, but I guess you could also say that it is some diabolical weapon of the mummies. :) Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Before I saw it was an alternate build, I was wondering why in an ancient temple their were plane pieces. I have my answer. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Hehe I was thinking that the basis or the whole idea of the Moc was to build it with the diabolic head chopper ;) Nice alt build though. if you squint JUST right you can totally make out the bird ;) and grats on first Moc on EB! Quote
