It's going to be a matter of personal preference. What do you think looks better? Are you really going to use whatever method I tell you to? Both are good for their own reasons, prefab hulls will be easier since you have a defined shape set up and an outline to follow, brick built allows for more customization, the option to go wider if you choose. It's really up to what YOU want to build, not what we want to build. Quote
Cpt. Tristan Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I agree, and another thing to consider: Are you trying to go more realistic, classic Lego style, or actually replicate a real ship. Classic Lego style you should probably go with prefab (IMP), just generally realistic you can go either way but brick built gives the option for more detail, and replicating a real ship is pretty hard with prefab.
