It's a great article. Thanks mate. I plan to do a refurb and upgrade to George to iron out the existing issues e.g Liner Actuators jamming. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Why is the robot not central to the undercarriage? Quote
Burf2000 Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Why is the robot not central to the undercarriage? Sorry mate what do you mean, are you referring to Bob (t1) or george? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I mean george the big black one that was posted above with you beside it. Quote
Burf2000 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 That is bob, George is the one with the Spongebob eyes. Bob was actually last years robot and can be found on here. The main body beam actually goes up and down via 5 pneumatic pistons and around 40psi! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Ok i ment Bob,so why is Bob not central to the undercarriage? Quote
Burf2000 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 Ok i ment Bob,so why is Bob not central to the undercarriage? Sorry mate I was not trying to be picky, just want to give a useful answer. If your referring to why the main beam that joins the track is not central (front to back) then this is because the main beam rises(and lowers) and would topple over if in the middle. Also there is a heavy counter weight at the bottom of the beam which would probably get in the way. Sorry if this is wrong, my grammar is rubbish :( Quote
