Stardusty Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Yeah, I had a lot of fun building this starfighter. It was a short build, actually, around two hours. As I have said, I made this for 'Put Your Brick Where Your Mouth is Two' contest on Classic Space forum. Some data. 15$ category, 230 g (15 g stand, that I've forgot to add on the pictures), one minifigure, very sturdy and swooshable. Besides swooshing, it also has an opening cockpit. Horry Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 This is a very clear and elegant design, I like it! Reminds me of a one-person-Klingon-bird-of-prey! Quote
Legostein Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hello! A really sleek starfighter design! I like the concept. Except for the 2x2 round tiles on the engine tips. It looks so flat. Maybe the 2x2 domes would work better? Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
-zenn Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) Love the look of it, reminds me of a Klingon bird of prey. *agrees with Horry* Edited October 2, 2011 by -zenn Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 AWESOME 'Bird Of Prey' inspired starfighter, great cockpit and wings....nice long range cannons ! Brick On Fight On 'Stardusty' ! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I like the look of it Stardusty. Orange and the greys hold a soft spot in me as far as colour combos go, and the bird-of-prey configuration is nicely executed. Quote
zero1312 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Nice!!! I was always a fan of the bird-of-prey-design Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Very nice and sleek. Looks very fun to swoosh!! I like the color scheme, specially how that trans orange cockpit works out. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Tanma Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Nice creation, it does look highly "swooshable." the only concern I have is that the images creates the effect that it is a mini scale craft. Something about the parts used and it's shape makes it seem quite small. regardless it is a great MOC. Quote
Stardusty Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 I'm glad you guys like it! In fact, it was inspired by the Bird of prey, at least the main shape. I'm not so sure about the cockpit and engines. They just came naturally, since I knew I was limited in terms of the space for the pilot. @Legostein: You are right. I never remembered to use dome pieces for the intakes. Thank you for your comments and some critics! Quote
