President of Brick Town Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Police sets are LEGO's flagship sets dating back to the 1960s. Recently I saw some members having a rant for more Police ssets. Indeed they are released every 3 years since 2005. But what do you think if TLG mixed it up a bit, like the forest sets. Maybe Coastal Police? What are your opinions?
Yucca Patrol Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Police sets are LEGO's flagship sets dating back to the 1960s. Recently I saw some members having a rant for more Police ssets. Indeed they are released every 3 years since 2005. But what do you think if TLG mixed it up a bit, like the forest sets. Maybe Coastal Police? What are your opinions? I prefer to imagine a LEGO world that has no violence or crime, and therefore has no need for police. When we have kids, we will avoid buying the police sets for them. I'd rather them play with fire trucks instead. . . . But maybe some sort of alternate law enforcement officers such as park rangers or game wardens would be very interesting.
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I don't mind about Lego releasing regular Police sets. I think that town is one of those themes that can live forever. And is a town complete without police? No. And although the designs can get repetitive from time to time, it never gets old for kids, and quite frankly it helps to keep the theme updated. I don't collect Lego city, but I still like almost all the sets and I'm a fan of Lego police. And I wouldn't mind if they didn't mix it up a bit, at all.
President of Brick Town Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 What's in for City in 2013? Police?
Big Cam Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 What's in for City in 2013? Police? You bumped your own topic that died 2 weeks ago to ask about 2013 sets that obviously no one has any info on? Really?
jth781 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I love the lego city police line however it does get overdone.
President of Brick Town Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 You bumped your own topic that died 2 weeks ago to ask about 2013 sets that obviously no one has any info on? Really? Which topic?
Ricecracker Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 As Big Cam said, there's no need to revive your topic in this fashion, especially when you aren't adding anything of value. I'm locking this now so it doesn't go too off topic. If others are truly interested in discussing their opinions on police sets, I welcome them to start their own new topic.
