The email advertisment for the joust in the German LEGO S@H just came in.

I am still not going to buy it. It has to many pieces that are similar to the castle. I just need the figs which will cost a fortune on BL.

I was a bit surprised that in the German description they call the black knight explicitly a Falkenritter (falcon knight). I expected them to avoid the reference to the older faction and call him a "black knight" to refer to the black knight myth.

Wow! That's great! I'm going to buy it this summer, now I don't have so much money...

I will get this at some point but my bank balance has taken a bit of a battering over Christmas and I prefer to spend what money I do have on sets that are reduced. The Kingdoms Joust seems to be a very impressive set though and a fitting finale for the Kingdoms line. For the number of pieces I think the price is very reasonable and there is a good selection of figures. The main structure is imposing and should be a great companion to the Kings castle, although I will need to find a way of filling that large opening. I do wish they had given the dragon knights some sort of presence in the set as they were one of my favorite parts of Kingdoms, the inclusion of the Black Falcon is a pleasing nod to classic castle fans but its a shame they couldn't have got a dragon knight in as well.

The set has arrived a little early out here in Denver! Thought I was gonna have to wait until next week but I guess the new Lego store got some in stock today. Needless to say, I'll be spending most of my afternoon putting it together.

Gonna pick this up for my wife once it's readily available. Looking forward to some box art and instructions to get a better feel for the set. I think it will go great with the recently discontinued castle.

They were in the LEGO stores here in chicago on the 27th. I will pick up my copies on the 1st. (when I will luckily get a 30% discount) Now just trying to decide how many to buy...

With a 30% discount, as many as you can. Without it, one.

I'm still calling the Black Falcon a Dragon knight. Since everything about him except his shield is Dragon Knight. He even has DK plumage. My story is going to be that the Lionsking wouldn't allow the DK to enter his tourney. So, the evil DK, a la, " A Knights Tale", pulls a Heath Ledger.

Added to my wish list

Now i'm looking to buy old sets of my childhood (like #6081 and so on), but this 10223 it's amazing :sweet:

I'm so excited to be back in Lego world, that i would buy all Lego i can see, but money is my enemy

I'll try to get some pics of the set up today (Any in particular?). I would have done a review but my camera was being a pain so no go. Man is putting some of these big sets together is quite a labor. The old castle sets wouldn't have taken near as long, lol.
