LEGO has such a limited selection of plant and landscaping pieces that I was wondering if any custom part manufacturer has ever made plants the way that BrickArms makes guns that LEGO doesn't maek? I've searched around the internet but have come up empty. . . . . Quote

I guess I must be the only one who would like more options when it comes to plants for building realistic landscapes. . . .. otherwise maybe one of these aftermarket companies would make some of these sorts of things? I agree, I'd much rather have a variety of plant pieces than a gazillion weapons. Most of the aftermarket weapons seem rather unnecessary and un-Legoish to me, simply because they add quantities of detail that don't exist in any other item in the Lego universe. And then for plant life we are stuck with the same handful of pieces that have been around for years. On the plus side, having only a few different plant pieces does encourage experimentation. I've seen some wonderful plant work in MOCs around here. Quote

But there must be lots of people that enjoy forcing their minifigs into realistic violent situations or else they would not exist. . . . I don't demand a LOT of very realistic plant parts, but another dozen options would be great. It is kind of funny that when you search on bricklink for plant parts, all of the ones ever made fit on a single page! If someone has the know-how, time, and $$$ to get started, I think it would make a great and probably successful small business..... Quote
Jargo Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I started a topic discussing this here. Loads of ideas but not the funds or know how. Megabloks did a piece that's supposed to be a sort of forest fern. their palm tree was rubbish but the fern is passable. Other clone/bootleg brands just haven't made anything halfway decent and I haven't found any custom foliage anywhere. Quote
