widetent Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Hi all, Does anybody have a Ldraw or LeoCad file for this model I could have? Paul http://www.brickinside.com/NeoView.php?Db=CAD&Mode=view&Block=1&Number=1119&BackDepth=1&fmSearchType=ALL&fmKeyWord=8070&SortCrt=Desc&fmCategory= Here it is. I made it without flexible parts. Free for NON-Commercial Use Only ;) Edited September 23, 2011 by widetent Quote
Blakbird Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 http://www.brickinsi...esc&fmCategory= Here it is. I made it without flexible parts. I don't seem to be able to download this file. I get an error (which I can't translate). Looks like a great model though! I'd be interested in rendering some of your newer model CAD files. I can make the flexible parts for you. Quote
DLuders Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) I could not download the LDraw file either; maybe one has to be logged in (and be a member of) Brickinside to download it. However, widetent posted an SR 3D file (named 8070-129.L3B) of the 8070 Super Car at the bottom of this SR 3D webpage. Edited September 24, 2011 by DLuders Quote

DLuders Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 (edited) @ widetent: Could you e-mail your LDraw file to me at LudersDG@MSN.com ? I will then post it (using MegaUpload) so that others can access it. There are folks (like me) who don't know how to use SR 3D. The Japanese Korean BrickInside website is awkward, and online translators cannot handle the Japanese Korean characters.... Edited September 25, 2011 by DLuders Quote

I sent the file by email. :) SR3D has easy interface and many valuable functions to make easy assembling lego model. and file format L3B and LDR was compatible with each other. I should have to insist you must taste it :) You can download SR3D here and I have to notice that Brickinside is Korean site, NOT japanese site. Have a nice day ;) Edited September 25, 2011 by widetent Quote
DLuders Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Widetent was gracious to send me his LDraw file for the 8070 Supercar set -- you can download the 117-kB file here via MegaUpload SkyDrive. He wrote to me that "This model was assembled without flexible part because at that time SR3D didn't support flexible part. When you upload this file on your website, please indicate that this file was "Free for NON-Commercial Use Only". I had assembled many Lego official model until now. If you need any other model file, let me know. Have a nice day ;) KWON" Thanks, Kwon! Edited February 8, 2012 by DLuders Quote

It is one of those tools that is obviously perfect for Technic, yet I have so far been too lazy to learn it because I have already invested so much time in learning MLCAD. I think the other reason I have not tried it is that once I do I will want to go back and make all new animations for Technicopedia with it and that will take me forever. 8070 worked though! Quote
