ADHO15 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 "Oh I see how it works now. I shall play the Five of Coins then."
Brickdoctor Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 You play the Five of Coins. You win the trick. Remaining in your hand are the King of Staves, the Queen of Cups, the Nine of Swords, the Eight of Cups, the Knave of Staves, the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups.
ADHO15 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 "I think I will play the King of Staves next." OOC: The upside-down numbers/letters on the cards shouldn't be backwards.
Brickdoctor Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 You play the King of Staves: He plays the King of Coins. The trick is tied. Remaining in your hand are the Queen of Cups, the Nine of Swords, the Eight of Cups, the Knave of Staves, the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups. OOC: The upside-down numbers/letters on the cards shouldn't be backwards. QM Note: I knew something didn't look right. For some reason, I was flipping the image vertically instead of rotating it 180 degrees. I didn't realize it would take this long to play a hand. Do you want to play the full twelve hands?
ADHO15 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 QM Note: I knew something didn't look right. For some reason, I was flipping the image vertically instead of rotating it 180 degrees. I didn't realize it would take this long to play a hand. Do you want to play the full twelve hands? OOC: I'll let you off for having the figs one way up. Not particularly. I think that will go on a bit too long. Maybe only a few. So did you win the first hand, or is it your turn to go first?
Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 So did you win the first hand, or is it your turn to go first? QM Note: The previous trick tied, so whoever wins this next one will win both. I played the last card, so it's your turn.
ADHO15 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 "I played the first card last time, or do I have to do it again because it was a tie? If so, I shall play the Queen of Cups."
Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 You decide to play the Queen of Cups: He passes. You win both tricks. Remaining in your hand are the Nine of Swords, the Eight of Cups, the Knave of Staves, the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups.
Flare Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 "I'm not telling you anything until you pay for that or give it back to me. Mead costs 5 Gold!" Benji givces back the mead and listens to the bartender...
ADHO15 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 "It seems my luck is improving. I play the Knave of Staves next."
Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 Benji givces back the mead and listens to the bartender... "I'm living in Brobric. It's impossible not to hear about the Lion Knights. Invasive scum. The Brobric Elves have all the info, though, and they like to keep most of it to themselves. Haven't heard anything about the Hinckwells."
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 You elect to play the Knave of Staves: He plays the Queen of Staves. You lose the trick. He then plays the Six of Coins: Remaining in your hand are the Nine of Swords, the Eight of Cups, the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups. "It seems my luck is improving. I play the Knave of Staves next." QM Note:Sorry, I missed this reply.
ADHO15 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 [ QM Note: Sorry, I missed this reply. OOC: That's okay. "I play the Eight of Cups."
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 You play the Eight of Cups. You win the trick. Remaining in your hand are the Nine of Swords, the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups.
Flare Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Benji nods in thanks to bartender and walks over to watch our gambling hero
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 You play the Nine of Swords: He passes again, and you win another trick, to take a commanding 5-2 lead. Remaining in your hand are the Two of Coins, and the Three of Cups.
ADHO15 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 "Hmm. I suppose I should play the Three of Cups next."
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 You play the Three of Cups: He plays the Six of Swords. You lose the trick. With no other choice, you play the Two of Coins: He plays the Eight of Swords. You lose the trick. You have used all your cards, and the hand has ended. Though he won the last two tricks, your opponent was unable to catch you. You win the hand, 5-4. QM Note: Twelve (and probably more) hands would take too long for one game. I'm going to end it now. "Good game!" The other man pushes the stack of Gold towards you. You gain 5 Gold. Ad-Hoh (played by ADHO15 Level 7 Mage Power: 11 Health: 10/11 Ether: 10/11 Gold: 10 Inventory: Shadeaux Staff (WP: 4), Rhabdomance Staff (WP:3), Potion, Emerald Gem (Wood), Amethyst Gem (Darkness), Tonic, Bedroll "The name's Sinclair, by the way. That was a close game. You do not want a rematch? Fair enough! While you are here, may I ask if you have seen any Lion Knights pass through this area recently? My party and I are trying to locate them."
Brickdoctor Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 While you are here, may I ask if you have seen any Lion Knights pass through this area recently? My party and I are trying to locate them." "A Lion Knight? In Brobric? Impossible. The elves wouldn't allow that."

I do not want to sound selfish, and I shall gladly wait around if someone else would like a game, but my vote is for moving on with our quest if nobody else wants to play Mr. Sinclair here."
